A homestay that feels just like home, well a home with an infinetly better view. The stay fulfilled every expectation:
• Wholesome delicious food • Heart warming hospitality • Hygenic amenities with water and geyser availability • Helpful and sweet staff • Safety
My family and I stayed here for 15 days, that's just how much we loved it. The way to the homestay is a 10 to 20 minutes walk up in the mountains (depending on your speed) and it's really worth it. We were looking for a homestay experience of living in the forests and mountains, both rolled into one. And it delivered😌. We had lived in the topmost accomodation, which gave us the breathtaking views of the mountains. The vibe made us forget about the excrutiating heat just a few latitudes below. And who wouldn't want that for a few days? I can most definetly say that the stay has given my mind, body and soul a much needed rest.
The people running this homestay have gained my extra affection for the food and hospitality. The food had a "sweetness" to it, according to my mother and I agree, 100%. The food was made with love, care and sincerity, every morsel of the food making me more and more grateful for choosing to stay here. The people are also the sweetest. One of the family memebers acted as a guide and gave us a tour of their land in the mountains. It turned out be a mini trek, which was extremely fun!
We also loved the freedom that this accomodation gave us. With one porch and one roof area all to ourselves, we enjoyed the vast area thouroughly. Sitting on the chair with my parents and younger brother beside me admiring the view of the mountains is a memory that is going to stay with me for a long, long time. I am beyond thankful.
So if you are one of those people who love a walk in the mountains, wholesome homemade food, talking to natives, weather that makes you wear an additional layer of clothing, grateful for the sunshine and obviously clean, fresh air...this homestay is for you. You will most definetly enjoy your time...

Read moreHi,
Hills life lover Homestay is just a paradise! The location , people , hospitality , family ambience, nature, eternity are all mesmerizing. I have travelled all across Europe, Middle east, United kingdom, many asian countries which includes my lovely country India. And, I can easily conclude that this experience is outstanding of all. I pen down this post with full responsibilty of being an inveterate traveller.
I stayed in Nanital for 2 days and in the same resort. The hospitality and family ambience which Amit provided leaves me astounded. It felt like second home. I was with my full family of 12 people which included kids aged from 3 to 12 years and adults aged from 18 to 85 years. Throughout our stay we were treated like a family if not more. Amit's family was so kind that we felt overwhelmed and humbled everytime. My uncle who is 85 was facilitated with a "palki" (a comfy chair which is lifted by 4 people) as he is not able to walk long and elevated distances. There is a treck of 700 meters from the main road to Amit's homestay but it was seamlessly well managed. The food was arranged on demand and the smell and taste of hilly veggies still gives me nostalgia. I congratulate Amit and his beautiful family for the courage, hardwork and patience to built this amazing home. I wish him all the best to keep this spirit high and keep showering his love to travellers. People like him make our country proud.
Thanks again and plan...
