I stayed in this what I can't call a hotel but a room a few days back. I was trying to book this place through air bnb and the guy hosting the property, Sandeep asked me to not book through them and pay him directly. That should have been the first red flag. What followed once was reached there was a series of nightmarish events. The washroom was unusable, there was no power until it was dark and unbearably cold. The food was bad and since the room is on an open mountain, other street dogs would wander and come right in front of your room in search for food. There is no secure fencing on the other end of the corridor so literally any animal and come through. Sandeep told us that he could take us to the deoriatal trek next day and said since he had work anyway he there is no extra cost for accompanying us, however on the day of our checkout demanded that we pay extra for that. The room rate on airbnb was 800 but we were charged 1000 per night. I had my 11 inch chihuahua with me. When no other gimmick worked they called us 5 hours after we left the place demanding more money cause our tiny puppy apparently climbed the 5 feet fence and took a dump into a dinner plate. Yes, as abnoxious as this may sound, we were told this is what happened. When confronted with basic physics and logic they changed the version of their story and said we put our dog poop on the dinner plate. The room has no space to put dinner plates after you are done, one has to keep them outside on the fence and no one would pick them until next morning. Any dog in the area can come and take a dump anywhere since the place is open. But they kept insisting it was us. The conversation turned ugly to a point that this Sandeep guy turned aggressive and abusive. Avoid this...

One of the best experiences of my travels. The staff is very polite and helpful. The owner Anil bhai was kind to share his knowledge and the history of the village.
