We booked the place after reading reviews and viewing riverside pics.. though the place was beautiful, the host/ caretaker's behaviour was not upto mark. Undoubtedly, he prepared delicious meals, but he was too unwelcoming if a second serving of raita or vegetable was asked. They serve very small initial serving and on asking for another one, his expressions became such that we wouldn't want to ask for more even if we were hungry. Further, we were a couple with a child, though he charged half bedding and fooding rent for her, still she was never given a separate plate for dining, even we were offered only 2 glasses of water every meal. We as parents find it very disrespectful towards our child. Finally, the day we had to leave, we asked him to prepare an early simple breakfast for 3 of us as we had to leave at 7 a.m. to which he said "yahan langar thodi laga hua h, ki jitna marzi Khao, everything costs me high here, I shall pack 4 bread pieces for both of you" and he literally gave us 8 toasted breads only.. nothing for our daughter. This is seriously the most pathetic behaviour we have ever encountered at a homestay/ hotel. Lastly, there are no network/ internet facilities.. they don't provide Wi-Fi in rooms and in even cafeteria, u need to waste an hour to get connected to his mobile hotspot.
Reply to the response given by the host - First things first, I gave the reviews for help of the families who want to vacay there, nothing personal and adverse for you. N there is no hint of lie in that as I won't profit from negative reviewing. Secondly, as u said, u never Gave my daughter separate plate that's y she ate with her mother and we had no issues with that. But for water, either u don't give any glasses at all or if u r giving, u should have the courtesy to give at least 3 glasses where the kid is above 5 years old. Then comes ur another self made story, that we told u in morning to pack the breakfast though we told u to do the same a night before only.. u could have denied that at that time only but no, u started taunting us that 'hum limited dete h mai ap dono ko per head 4 toasts dunga yahan langar nhi lagta'.. next morning, we appreciate that you woke up early though breakfast was included in our stay and it is a part and parcel of your service.. u had packed only 8 bread slices from which my wife ate 2-3, and even after requesting for giving 1-2 more, u didnt pay any heed to it.. when u r charging for the kid, y won't u count her for breakfast and it is a matter of petty things only.. 2-3 bread slices n all . One who can afford to come to such a place can afford bread too, but the location is such that we can't get anything to eat nearby. Further, we never demanded full breakfast though parathas could have been packed too . But u said that you can't get up early that much so, we asked for the easiest option, i.e., bread slices in which you again showed your miser attitude. N yes, the meal servings were really small.. n the attitude u carry while giving the second one was terrific.
Lastly, singing n writing devotional is my passion n profession which has nothing to do with you.. People can already understand by reading ur reply that u call ur clients greedy just because they bargain before visiting n still coming with no...

I stayed at hobo Huts and am sharing my thoughts with you straight from my heart
The location - located beautifully on a side of a river, in a valley, you are bound to fall in love with the design of the place. Minimal construction that doesn't infringe on nature's spirit to grow. If you like template, green grass clad resorts, please don't stay at hobo Huts The rooms - Thank God, I didn't find the white bleached Lenin on the bed. Instead I was surprised at the cosy home style beds with regular bedding. The sheets were the ones we are familiar with at our homes. The decor is functional and not there to impress you with its stylish woodwork. Instead it'll make you forget that you are visiting a resort, so please don't go there! The place - Treasure hunt to discover a waterfall or cleaverly crafted pool by the river, your day will not have a dull moment for sure. Get up early, greet the sun by the river, have breakfast, walk by the riverside, play with Kali (cheerful pup), have lunch, watch a movie, come back for evening tea, take a dip in the pool, have dinner, listen to amazing stories from Ashwini and then sleep. You'll forget your busy life and get into nature's way of living. Breathing the cleanest air while listening to birds sing, you'll never want to return to the city and for this reason I recommend you not to go there. The host - Ashwini Rajput is a big problem. He takes care of you from the moment you make a booking to the point you see him off. He is there as a brother, bro or bhai - any form you need him in. I felt as if I have come to meet a close relative of mine who was taking care of me. It feels bad to have left his side. You'll feel bad too so don't stay at hobo Huts. The chef - Didn't I say that Ashwini Rajput is a big problem. He is the Head chef as well and served me with one of most mouth watering food. I haven't had such parathas with Beatroute chutney or Khichdi in my life. God know how he innovated and turned our simple khichdi into a dish that makes me hungry everytime I think about it. Don't go there if you don't to miss the aaawwweeemazing food after your stay. Heart break - Once you visit Hobo Huts, your regular day to day life would seem even more mundane. You'll leave behind a part of your heart and take back with you a life long longing to be there again as soon as you can - the way I have! Your heart will break too as mine did when I left. So please please don't go there. Bonus not to go tip - When you are in mood for a party night, you'll be served the suave and sexy "Summer wine". Once you have it there is no going back to ordinary evenings so please don't go there.
Now that you know the truth, only go there if you wish to see how a heart brimming with love and...
Read moreWe discovered Hobo Huts on Google and we are glad it was our first halt of our most awaited winter vacation. The 5 acre property is stunning - built inside a valley, surrounded by mountains. You have to walk down for about 2 mins and cross a tiny bridge over a beautiful river to reach the ultimate destination. Ideal for nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, families, book lovers, photographers, writers, foodies, pet parents, staycationers - you name it! We stayed at Hobo for 2 nights and the most beautiful experience was knowing its owner - Ashwaniji. He’s the most amazing person you will ever meet. His eye for detail is visible in every small effort he’s painstakingly taken to make Hobo Huts a nature lover’s paradise - the usage of bamboo, wood and stone across different utility items and rooms at Hobo. He’s passionate about cooking and his love for food is seen through the wonderful dishes he made for us. The highlight was uprooting a radish from his farm and making piping hot Mooli paratha for us. He also made Chulhe ki roti and subzi and ensured we were well fed, literally! He recommended a village walk during the day which we happily considered and it was the most serene and soothing experience- walking through the unwinding pathways, glancing at the different patterns of nature and catching up with villagers and their cute pets. Ashwaniji genuinely loves engaging with his guests and we chatted about many things, travels, experiences, etc. around the bonfire before our next adventure onwards to Munsyari. He also suggested we visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar (a famed cave temple of Lord Shiva) en route and we will be forever thankful to him! He checked on us if we reached our next destination safely and that was heartwarming. Overall, Hobo Huts is highly recommended if you want to unwind in the lap of nature, surrounded by the river, birds and trees (and leopards at times). Not recommended for senior citizens if they have mobility issues. If travelling with kids in winter, pack adequate...
