Hotel Pandey Lodge — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Information regarding hotel:|1. Excellent Location directly faced to the mountain. We stayed at double bedded semi deluxe room no 301, 302 and 303. Those rooms are directly Mountain View. Rooms are small in size with furniture. Room no. 301 is the best out of three, but room no 303 is very small.|2. Free parking|3. Beside taxi stand|4. Best room of the property is room no. 360 (costliest room in Munsyari), get view of the mountain all around from the room. |5. Room no. 306,307, 308 are well decorated deluxe room, but not directly Mountain View. Room no 309 is one of the best Mountain View room in Munsyari.|Information regarding best part of the hotel:|1. Pandey Ji, the owner, is a very nice person and he welcomes us and it is noticed that he personally visited all the rooms and wished good morning and guides us effectively.|2. Room service is excellent. Pandey ji personally take care of it.|3. All the Bengali TV channels are available.|Only drawback of the hotel is supply of hot water. Some rooms have geysers. For other rooms, hot water is supplied in tap line. Pandey ji informed us that hot water is available in 24 hrs, but as per hotel rules, hot water is supplied upto 10 pm. As per our two days experiences, hot water is available in the morning.|Information regarding drawback of in house restaurant:|1. Restaurant is very small and Foods are average.|2. We stayed here 13.5.25 & 14.5.25. During booking, a few pics of rooms and one pic of the washroom had been shared. On which basis, we booked 5 double bed deluxe rooms for our 10 person. But on spot we found 2 rooms having similarities with pic but those rooms having no window at 1st floor, fully congested.

For another 3 rooms, not matched with the shared pic. Out of 3 Rooms, 1 is so small (#108) and other (#109) is a little big but both the toilets are below standard. And the 3rd room (#107) is four bedded, room is damp type, rug was torn out and uncleaned whereas shower and hot water system in this washroom was really good & working. All the 5 rooms are of different types and not like "Deluxe!" standard. It simply spoiled our rest of the tours and decided to cancel the stay of 2nd day of Munsiyari.

Next day PandeyJi not agreed to cancel the 2nd day booking, rather he changed 3 rooms (301, 302 & 303)in Upper stairs which were really GOOD and then we enjoyed on the 2nd day.

One thing was clear that Hotel Pandey has versatile type rooms, few I hv seen very small storage type also, and without seen on spot, booking of the rooms are really risky.

Location is just beside Munsiyari bus stand 👍 and 10 min walking distance from the market. Mountain views are available from the balcony. Meals are available, are tasty and good. Rates are...

Disgusting hotel. Pandey Ji and two of his staffs are very racist and rude. It was our first day in Munsyari, Uttarkhand. We were going to feed the street dogs when that Pandey Ji came out of nowhere and snatched the plate from us. He told us that " Please don't do this kind of things here. Please go and do it in your Kolkata. Here these dogs have bitten 8 bengalis (LOL, HAHA!!!!!!!😂😂)". LOL!!!! 🤣. Those dogs were so nice to us. We fed them biscuits, aloo paratha and so on. They didn't even showed anger towards us then how can they bite 8 bengali people. The bathrooms were disgusting. The sink was leaking in each of our two rooms. The geisure was also not working. In google photos of the lodge might look cool but in real we found that cover of the sofa was taken out. Whenever we complained Pandey Ji about it, he instead tells us that " How can we do so much work ". I can't understand. If he wants to run that hotel, he should fix the problems, right? And one evening when we ordered our snacks and Pandey Ji said " When you bengalis eat your snacks, we're already sleeping " after the snack was two hours late.
