Hotel Shrestha — Hotel in Uttarakhand

It is a banquet hotel. Good infrastructure. Chosen the place due to the ratings in google.

We reached at 8pm, not very difficult to access the place, got a suit set, big rooms, excellent furniture and appliances. I requested for bed sheets (as we didn’t need quilts) and they provided that.

Now the negative side. -The floor of the rooms was not cleaned. - Worst, toilet was filthy, on complaining the person replied that the cleaning person will come only next day and can be cleaned only then. We had to wash and use (thank god, whenever we travel by car, we carry every liquids for cleaning and bathing- from harpic to dove) Then the next, no hot water. Waited for 1 hour and on repeated complaints, they gave us a coil. There were lots of plants in the balcony, half dried due to lack of watering. We watered them next day morning.

Food was ok, but due to the lack of neatness didn’t feel like eating.

I was there for a conference and actually not seen any of the rooms. It's a recently started venture (about 2 yrs). The location is off the main road and the immediate approach road is not in a good condition. Parking is sufficient. Actually, the whole hotel is okay for the location. We cannot expect much for Pithoragarh...

Hotel staff is not professional, manaeger seems drunk at 10:00PM .
