Worst Experience – Don’t believe in Youtube Videos

If you are coming to the Resort after watching Youtube videos and goody-goody reviews, probably you are making a big mistake. What you see in videos and what you actually experience there, are two different stories. The videos are mostly ‘paid promotions’ by influencers. Though the Resort is at a very good location with clean rooms and the food is good, but these are the only two positive things which can said about the Resort. Besides these two things, you won’t find anything positive in the Resort. Actually, to call it a ‘Resort’ would be wrong. It’s not a ‘Resort’, its just a ‘property with accommodation facility’ at a good location. Don’t just get carried away by the Domes like structures, the property lacks maintenance at a drastic level.

While coming from Delhi, we were little late. Since our lunch was also included in our itinerary, we were expecting a call from the Resort staff about the food being ready. On the contrary, when we reached at the ‘so-called Resort” at 03.00 pm and asked for the lunch, TO OUR UTMOST SURPRISE, the kitchen staff was totally unaware of our lunch package, and told us, “Oh, we didn’t know you are coming, आप बैठिए अभी खाना तय्यार करवा देते है” can you imagine !!!...the hotel staff doesn’t know that guests are coming and they have to prepare the food? And we waited till 04.00 PM, when the food was actually served. Next day, we were told to visit a river bed (another property owned by the Resort owner). One of their staff members accompanied us in our car since we didn’t know the route. While coming back, he deliberately took us to a very long way ‘on foot’, so that he can show us the other properties owned by him [which we were not interested at all since we had kids with us and we all were sweating]. The same thing happened with other guests as well, where they insisted on showing the other properties owned by them. All were annoyed. Probably, the owners are looking for ‘potential investors’, rather than ‘guests/tourists’.

THE SAME THING HAPPENED that the staff was unaware of our arrival and hadn’t prepared the lunch for us. This time, we lost our temper and had a big fight with the Resort Manager, who is an extremely rude lady with full of attitude. Instead of apologizing, she argued that “we don’t prepare food in advance, we prepare it only fresh, when the guests arrive at the hotel.” We were finally given lunch at 4.15pm. To cut it short, the management is pathetic. The Resort Manager doesn’t know how to run a Resort and it definitely needs the owner’s intervention and supervision. There is a complete miscommunication between the Hotel Manager and the staff. Don’t come here after watching google photos about Rides and Kids area. Zip Lining has no zip. Burma bridge is broken (all photos enclosed). Kids area is completely abandoned and dirty with no one to guide you. The facilities like billiard, table tennis, carrom, badminton etc…..nothing available.

Door latches are broken. No Soap Dish in the Bathrooms. Regarding Dining area, they have kept plastic chairs, in a shabby manner. Food options are very very limited. The hotel staff makes only four-five items daily. Nothing for kids. You will keep on waiting and will get the same reply “Sir, ताज़ा तैयार हो रहा है”. And they truly test your patience. Kitchen area is pathetic. The Dining area is in the basement of a dilapidated building. Overall, pathetic management.

To run a Resort/hotel, you must have the qualities like, a) to be humble and polite; b) to be ready to listen to your guests; c) to be active in rectifying the defects; d) have good governance.

Review: Mixed Experience – One Good Employee Can’t Save a Disappointing Stay

I recently stayed at this resort with my family and with high expectations for my kids, based on the promises made on their website and over the call. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be largely disappointing.

To start with the positive — one of the staff members (Mahinder) was incredibly helpful, polite, and genuinely tried to ensure we had a good time. His hospitality stood out and deserves appreciation.

However, the rest of the stay was far from satisfactory. The sports activities that are heavily advertised online were either unavailable, poorly maintained, or completely non-functional. It felt misleading and definitely not what one expects after reading the descriptions on the resort’s website.

The swimming pool was another major letdown. Not only was it in terrible condition, but it was also not properly maintained or clean, making it non conditional unusable. When we raised our concerns, instead of receiving an apology or even an acknowledgment, the lady owner dismissed our feedback completely. She was extremely stubborn and defensive, refusing to accept any responsibility or admit that the pool and sports facilities were subpar(Her quote: I am ready to drink pool water for my satisfaction and in whole Delhi you won't find clear water than our pool water). Pool was filled with dirt, insects and the color of the water was dark green. Worse, she continued to provide false assurances to other guests — which felt deliberately dishonest.

It’s unfortunate because the property has potential, but poor management and a lack of accountability from the top have really tainted the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone looking for the amenities it claims to offer — especially if you’re hoping for decent sports facilities or a usable pool.

We planned for two days of stay but because of the sorry situation, I changed my plan to move to another resort next day.

Until the management changes its attitude and commits to honest communication and genuine improvements, I would suggest...

This is a very beautiful holiday destination for enjoying with family and friends. The beauty of this place is not just the landscape scenery but also the extraordinary designed dome shaped houses and to add to the flavor of a perfect vacation spot, is the beautiful garden where these dome houses are placed.

THE BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE Mostly people choose higher altitude resorts for staying so that they can experience a good sunrise. But this place is at such a perfect place, that we can experience a perfect sunrise between 6:00 am to 6:30 am there itself. The dome house we chose, we got the sunrise by just opening the door, JuSt WoW 😍

THE DOME SOUND BOX If you go inside the dome, it has a unique design with an extraordinary feature. The diagonal sound effect makes it very unique. If you speak from one end even in a slow voice, the person at the other end diagonal to it will receive a sound effect like 3d surround sound. So, do experiment the music speakers by placing at one end and sitting at the other end...SURPRISE ELEMENT 🤩

THE EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE Mr. Dabral and Mr. Ashok are the two gem persons here. Even after a shortage of staff due to Covid 19, the kind of hospitality we received from these guys was really very good. They fulfilled all our demands in a quick time. Mr. Ashok kept us very happy. He is a kind and humble guy and keeps the instructions by the tourists at a super high priority. 👍

DELICIOUS FOOD TASTE The taste of the food was very delicious. Although the price is a little higher, but the food taste and quantity is worth the price. 😋

Overall, it was an amazing experience with beautiful memories created. And if you want to go for a vacation in Lansdowne, go for this perfect...
