Mahayana River Resort Rishikesh — Hotel in Uttarakhand

I visited this property in the year 2023 and was literary amazed by the kind of hospitality and services provided by the entire staff and management. Based on my previous experience I rebooked the property just few days ago for couple of days. However, this time I was absolutely dissatisfied with the entire set of services offered by the hotel management.

Plentiful of issues I observed during my stay. Shortage of staffs - We literary had to wait for 4 hours just to get the bedsheets changed. Rooms were not mopped or cleaned until late afternoon and that to reminding the housekeeping staffs for 3-4 times. Food hygiene was a major issue. There were flies all over the food items offered in the buffet. Even one of other guest complained about serving left over foods, which was very true. The locks in the rooms were not working as expected. The swimming pool was not cleaned and because of the stagnant water there was mosquitoes all around.

The scenic beauty around the property is really amazing and it would be lovely property to hang out. Hence, I urge the management to optimize the level of services and take care of the guest hospitality...

We had corporate event where we booked 11 rooms with them for few days.

Location is amazing, room services are average and food service is WORST.

Before booking, we confirmed that they will allow us to choose the menu. When we asked them in advance to discuss, they said that there is no reason to discuss early, when we get there, we need to discuss menu one day in advance for next day. Issue started when we tried to discuss the menu, they just had predefined things in mind and not listening to us at all. We kept requesting things but they served only what was remainder of the previous lunch or dinner and mix with couple of new things.

Worst part happened on the last day when we were supposed to checkout. We had few young kids supposed to leave for Delhi bit early at around 7:30am. We requested them to have breakfast ready by 7 - 7:15am. After 4 reminders on the day before, they had kitchen locked till 7:30am. When I tried talking to the head of the kitchen, he had no regret or remorse. Only thing he told us - "we had to sleep, so couldn't do it". Not...

I booked the resort room in advance..i reached at resort around 6pm with my wife and 2 kids after travelling all the way from Gurgaon. When we reached there we were asked to wait until room was cleaned and available.. we kept on waiting for 3 hours and at last we came to know that room is not available. He offered us a room in another resort in neighbourhood.. my children were tired and hungry so i agreed for the same.. we we reached another resort we came to know that room is not available on that resort as well and they offere is a tiny tent room with low amenities. When i shouted at them they cancelled my booking in original resort and refunded my booking amount and left me with no other option but to sleep in the tent and strike a deal with tent owners. It was a horrible experience.. i would never suggest anybody going to this resort. No professionalism, lot of harrassment and no value for more bookings.. worst...
