Maulik Mansion Resort — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Overall it's a so-called "4 star" property but maintained by the owner on a budget. A few of the things are good and deserve mention here: room size along with the attached washroom is big and well lit. Washroom is not well lit. Rooms are reasonably clean but there were red ants in the room. I got multiple bug bites. the bigger Swimming pool appears clean but all the ladders for ingress and outgress of the pool are broken. the smaller pool's floor tiles were broken and could cause injury especially to kids. Meals were tasty and presented aesthetically, but the buffet spread is limited for breakfast and for dinner as well. The restaurant staff is great and provide good service. We received very good service from Shanker Goswami and the chef Harish (hope I recall the names correct). Overall property is not big so nothing to explore in the property. They allowed some of their guests to take alcohol in the open and play loud music in the small lawn right in front of our rooms. This is a strict No - No for any good 4 star property which cares to maintain some class and cares for the guests comfort and safety. Allowing alcohol and loud music in open lawn becomes more problematic when the property size is as small as this property Maulik Mansion has. When we checked-in their, we found we were the only guest they had - this was strange as all the near by 4 star property were full except this one. On the top of that they didn't care to switch on the lights in the common area, pool area and whatever small lawn they have within their "4 star" property. I asked them to at least switch on the lights, then they somehow switch on some of the lights in the common area. That's when I realised that this is a so-called "4 star" property with an owner on budget constraints to manage the property. Their house keeping team never picked the phone even once. Had to call reception to route our house keeping service request. They don't have recreational activity area. On asking they said that they could send the board games to our rooms. They do have a pool table room but... but the cue was broken and one of the balls were also broken (honestly I have never seen a pool table ball broken in my life until I reached this so-called "4 start" resort 😀). Their front desk staff seems moody . When we checked-in the guy on the front desk was very welcoming and all smiles. But thereafter no one on the front desk ever smiles or even greet the guests when approached to get some information. This can easily be fixed by little training... afterall they claim to run a "4 star" resort.. I am sure they can manage this much. It will cost them any extra money.

All in all if you go there just keep in mind it's not a proper 4 star resort property, rather, a wanna be 4 star property. Have you own big group to occupy the as many rooms as possible and then enjoy. Though the buffet spread is less but the taste, presentation and restaurant service will not...

Be alert Yesterday we booked our room in maulik mansion ramnagar for 1 night stay.. Everything is good till midnight..at around 3 am my husband just woke up by sensing the blanket wet n we just found our family all floating over water ..our bed is almost gone n due to thick mattress we r on it..n yes with a 5 year old kid..my husband in hurry just dialing staff no. But no one is responding even other no. Are out of reach in night ..den we google n got a no. Of delhi n he picked up the phone n translete the same to the ramnagar branch n cant belive that the hotel staff comes so late ..approx 10 to 15mins n than we r about to float n all room furniture is started detaching n floating ..den my husband goes in water by taking life risk in dat water in which may be current will pass anytime n opens the door n they r soo irresponsible dat we tell dem to cut the whole electricity n den we will go through in dz water n den after we r searching some torch n ol for light source as any time some short circuit can happen n all fans n night lights are ON Dat time..but found nothing for emergency N this sitution becomes worse when after lights off a big heavy snake which is almost bed size coming towards our family..we can't express how scary it is for a family wd a small kid..no lights a big snake is roming around us in room n now we don't have any choice to go bcoz everything is in water..den after any how we suggest the staff to atleast do some steps forward n save our kid first n through Window our kids goes in first floor n den by attaching furniture me n my husband goes through that room bcoz any time dat snake will come towards us n God knows if something wrong happens den in the name of staff thier are some boys with zero capabilities.. from window till next building we go through the same water bare footed taking our life in risk n den after in 1st floor they opened one room in till morning we r in dat room wd no electricity n lots of smell n mosquitoes n departure in rain as morning light appears n now we r getting calls from the mension for full payment..n they are just giving excuses in the name of natural disaster n so they are not even sorry for dz bcoz it happens bcoz of nature .. n what we noticed from 1st floor is rain is not dat much heavy n the water is coming from pool area n other portions of mansion is not in water so it is not rainy water but some other thing ..but they r not ready to except dz n just putting the blame of natural things N yes the staff dat comes in morning for receiving us.. just singing songs while packing our floating things n other staff member is cracking jokes with us for the bad trip.. how...

Here I will share the truth review for Maulik resort.. Overall experience is worst. Let start with room they allocated me is superior bath tub room no :-109 which has high false smell of wall dampness. That day they upgraded to me jacuzzi room free of cost the difference between room I book is of Rs 1500 /-on first floor in which jacuzzi Bluetooth speaker and other features was also not working. Even it was not clean properly.

In evening the manager said we will shift your tomorrow to another superior bath tub category room which is good in condition.

Next day in morning around 9.30 AM they ask for switch room to be checked. Went to room number 110 which also same condition and it was covered by high spray of room freshner.

I said I can't stay in this room ; then manager said in this area ground floor room has wall dampness issue with smell in all properties in Jim Corbett National park dhikala zone to cover up.

Now they shifted to some lower category room on firsr floor in which AC was not working and shower was broken and manager said they will less Rs 500 in snacks what I will order in evening as compensation to lower category room.

And if you booked a meal plan in package they will call you continuously more than 4 times in 1 hour stating your are only room left to eat and we waiting for you so that we can close .

Dinner timing is 8 PM to 10.30 PM and they will start calling you 8.30 Pm to 9.30 PM continuously after every 15-20 mins. Only one call is enough to remind in 1 hour.

In breakfast they have only one staff to handle all person breakfast, I asked staff where other they said no other staff as on leave and management want to be handle by one person only.

If you ever had Buffet breakfast lunch or dinner, you should be aware there are few things which need to served on table.

And staff is so cortious to say directly it's buffet take your own .

And one more thing do not take jafari jeep via Jim Corbett vacation , they miss guide you and waste your time also.

Best is book your stay 45 days before inside forest guest house which will provide you best jeep Safari jeep in package on governent website. Or book cantar in advance for Dhikala zone other zone are just scam first they will say you will definitely and later on when ride start they will kept on saying it's your luck.
