DETAILED REVIEW

Date of visit - November 13-14, 2020 Booked two deluxe rooms

I was apprehensive after reading reviews of this property. This is what i experienced.

Property is approx 20 years old and has a vast area to relax and enjoy the views of Alakananda.

Cons- 1. The reception area needs major upgrade with change in wood work and addition of modern artifacts. It makes the first image of hotel as an old cranky place.

This was the only con.

Pros.

Rooms are spacious, beautiful and comfortable. Bed was neither too soft and nor hard. Just perfect.

2.Bathrooms were clean.

Every room has same view of river and mountains (good architecture). So that gives assurance of perfect balcony view.

4.Located 3 km from main market of Rudraprayag. This is good as no city noise and if you want to visit city, its not too far off.

6.Restaurant has two seating area, one is covered like normal restaurants and other is in open, to enjoy food with beautiful scenes.

Breakfast was good (not fantabulous, but good) . Food in general was on an expensive side.

8.Staff was courteous.

Garden area is very good but needs maintainance and weeding out.

We stayed in about 6 hotels/resorts with 4 star to 5 star category on our 10 day trip and this clearly was one of the best property, only second to ITC hotel Fortune...

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The rooms were very dirty, and the furniture appeared to be from the 1920s, with no signs of any recent upgrades or maintenance.

From a safety perspective, I would rate this hotel 0 out of 10. The rooms resembled an abandoned property and felt unsafe, especially for families with children. Shockingly, there were no boundary walls, and the hotel premises were directly connected to a nearby jungle, raising serious concerns about security.💀

The washroom was in terrible condition — it was unhygienic, extremely cramped, and the flush wasn't working properly.

Regarding water: instead of providing sealed Bisleri bottles, we were given regular tap water, which was visibly dirty and not suitable for drinking.

The service was also extremely poor. One of the electrical switchboards in our room was left open, which is extremely dangerous, especially as we were traveling with a small child. Such negligence could lead to serious accidents.

I strongly do not recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly families. It was a horrifying and unsafe...
