I recently had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. While the location itself is nice and beautiful, but the owner's behavior, who is "Yash", was appalling. We faced a medical emergency and requested for a refund, but Yash not only refused but was also rude and dismissive. His response, "Pehli baar travel kar rahe ho kya? kisi hotel me aaj tak ruke nahi kabhi?" was completely unprofessional.|Moreover, he is extremely money-minded and even encouraged us to travel to the hotel during the monsoon season, despite the landslide risks. His disregard for safety is concerning. All the glowing reviews you see on YouTube and elsewhere are misleading and likely fake, as my personal experience was far from positive.|I am also extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The way the staff member treated a woman during a phone call was appalling. It is unsettling to think about how he might behave in a more secluded setting, like this hotel's remote location atop a mountain. I regret choosing this place for my stay and feel that I wasted my money. The experience was far from what I expected and has left me feeling quite dissatisfied. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodations.|Yash's behavior towards me was particularly troubling being a woman; he clearly lacks basic respect and professionalism. He also declined our calls when we tried to discuss the refund, which added to our frustration.|The amenities were non-existent, and the route to the hotel is perilous, especially in the monsoon season. There is no parking available, so you have to park 3 kilometers away and then walk for 30 minutes to reach the hotel. To top it off, there are reports of leopards in the area, making it a frightening experience.|I strongly advise against staying here. The risks and the owner's poor behavior far outweigh any potential positives.|PS: If the owner's review responses are this rude and pathetic, just imagine how the staff under him might treat you, especially if you are a woman. It is clear that respect and professionalism are not high on their list of priorities. I would not recommend this place based on...
Read moreThis place totally lives upto to its name. It's truly mount abode. The views from the top are just breathtaking. The accomodation is basic but very clean and comfortable. Running to the loo at nights can be a bit of a pain (since they are not attached) but one can understand the logistics of running water in a place as remote as this. And I guess it adds to the experience of being in the middle of nowhere. The food is just amazing. Bhandari ji and govind are gonna make sure you are well fed and looked after. Yash is a wonderful host and is always around incase you need any info or help. We totally loved our experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the wilderness and is happy to walk in the forest for about 25 mins. (Its takes about 25 mis to reach the property from...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life (both Rishikesh and Delhi). The trek to the entrance gate provides some amazing views of the Indian Himalayas. After entering the gate - a Hindu temple, a yoga platform with awe inspiring views, rustically cozy rooms (tents are also available), and vegetarian meals made on location with a fantastic chef. Yash, the owner, and his staff ensure that your stay is exactly what you are looking for. It’s a great place to reconnect with nature, other people, and with yourself. Check out the “ac point” that always provides a breeze. Please wear comfortable shoes for trekking and some clothes...
