We were in Harsil and exploring places in Harsil Valley in order to extend our stay. While casually browsing on google maps, we luckily came across Mud Stays with really awesome ratings and reviews from its guests. Initially, we were sceptical about booking a stay here and the feasibility of a car going till Bhangeli village. Nevertheless, we decided to give it a try as it was offering a discount and the amazing photos people had posted. To our amazement, since the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality of the staff and owners and made to feel at home. The location of Mud Stays is simply awesome, with breathtaking views of the stunning Himalayan peaks and of the beautiful Bhangeli village of course. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The food menu though not very elaborate is very much sufficient with many options and even the prices are really reasonable. The food at Mudstay is simply delicious, with all fresh ingredients and home-cooked meals that truly capture the essence of the local pahadi cuisine. The best part of Mud Stays was however, the warm and friendly behaviour of the owners and the staff who went well above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. Overall, I would highly recommend Mudstay to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic homestay experience in the Himalayas. Frankly speaking, I could have easily paid even double the booking amount for such a wonderful and memorable stay as it was truly worth it. I am definitely coming back for a longer duration soon and would recommend this place to all my friends visiting Harsil Valley for sure. Thank you and kudos to the entire team of Mud Stays for making our...

Our stay at Mud Stays was a unique blend of natural beauty and warm hospitality. The property is situated at a high altitude, offering breathtaking mountain views and a serene, nature-immersed environment.

The hosts, a warm family, made us feel right at home, and the village atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, blending traditional mud architecture with modern amenities.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that the village is quite remote, far from the main road, and there are no shops nearby. If your vehicle breaks down or you get a puncture, you’ll need to travel several kilometers to find repair facilities. It is best to come with a bike that has tubeless tyres, so small punctures can be managed easily.

Network connectivity is limited, with only Jio service working reliably, and Wi-Fi can be unstable at times. Food options are also limited, but the essentials are available.

The climb to the property is steep and can be physically demanding, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. That said, the local community is supportive and kind, and the natural surroundings are...

Love the concept for which it is created, but the rooms are actually not maintained as per the prices they charge if you are visiting do carry your own toiletries towels. caretaker don't change the bedsheet they use the same bedsheet of previous customers, there kids take shower in the same stay and they use the stay for there personal purpose and that's not the problem but the issue is they don't provide the necessary towel blanket or bedsheet and even if they its really untidy one. the owner should pay attention to this for us the worst part was at the time of arrival a person was allotted to take us to the room with our luggage as the location is complete remote and the stay is at the peak top of mountain But when we made the complete billing at the time of checking out the caretaker being a rude person said we are not here to take ur luggage down which was really rude inspite of request, great place to rejuvenate in nature but complete remote no network at all there's a wifi but its of no use you will be completely cutoff from the world. if u wanna take a dip in nature would definitely recommend this but carry your own...
