Away from hum-drum of our city life,we found a peaceful and calm home stay 'Nanda View Cottage ' which is situated in Matena,Almora, Uttrakhand.The place is surrounded by sylvan surroundings of the Himalayan peaks.Cleanliness is the essence of any place and this home stay reflects it truly.....neat and clean room,kitchen and toilet; spacious,simple elegant room with double bed, 4 chairs, table,almirah ,WiFi,gas, cylinder,utensils and a big balcony.Four persons can accommodate easily in one room.One can cook own food or can take the help of a caretaker who is good at making local food with warmth and affection. We stayed there for two days at a very reasonable price.It has a beautiful garden where we got a chance to see many species of plants in its garden.A bonfire in the lawn had been planned for the evenings. Green high mountains and hills were a visual treat from its roof and balcony.The cool fresh air and eternal beauty simply enchanted us.The weather was lovely with clouded sky.Natural serenity, peace of Almora and ease of Nanda View Cottage fascinated us very much.It is indeed a home...

The Nanda Cottage provides an out of the world experience especially if you are looking for some holistic break from your fast paced life. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, in short the accommodation is best as compared to other nearby cottages. The cottage itself was beautiful -cozy bedroom, sitting room, bathrooms, and a huge veranda with a fabulous view of snow-covered peaks. The food was very delicious and fresh, without too much oil, and the room service was great. The best thing is that the owners are personally involved in the management of the hotel and provide excellent service. The rooms have very good interiors and are well designed. The balcony is also very good to sit and watch the nearby hills. It is close to the main tourist spots of the town. The room service is also very good. Decent staff. Reasonable rate. We enjoyed...

Rightly named after Nanda View, one can easily spot the Nanda Devi Parbat from this homestay. Located at the finest, this Cottage made our stay very memorable. Not only it has an amazing view from anywhere one looks at, the hospitality is also very nice. It has a spacious room, the washroom is decently big, and it has a very nice pantry as well. It has all the facilities a good homestay should provide. Unlike other homestays, parking here isn't an issue. It's very easy to locate and is just few kms away from the Kasaar Devi Temple. It also has a lot of cafes and restaurants close to it, so ordering food or dining-in in these restaurants is very convenient.
