Oak N Pine Cottages — Hotel in Uttarakhand

The rooms were smaller than in the air bnb pictures and a lot dirtier. We had to come back in a day because there was no network and the wifi did not give us connectivity promised by the host. Which is actually okay, knowing that it's a remote place. But, there were a lot of issues with the place. The management is bad, so much so that there was litter everywhere around us. When we told the host and he asked about it to the staff, one of the boys actually talked to me in a very derogatory manner. With the kind of location the host is in, he should invest in having better staff and maintenance. Also, understand its remote, but that's also an opportunity to give services like power backup and fast internet (which is available at a few other homestays in the same region). I also found the price overrated. Funny story, we gave their staff two packets of paneer we had brought for our dog to keep in the fridge. When we asked for those while checking out, they took 45 minutes to bring it and one of the Amul packages magically turned into some local brand which was also spoilt. And I din even say anything then cos the staff was already so rude to us for complaining about them. Beautiful place, sad...

A comfortable stay at an offbeat location- Sigri, Uttarakhand. We stayed in the cottages and it was quite peaceful and serene. The cottages were clean and well maintained. Advised to travel via your own vehicle as this is a quite remote location. The owner(Vinod Kumar) and staff are friendly and very kind. They are locals so know alot about the place. Food is a bit on the pricey end but tasty, Just like homemade food. Be mindful while ordering. You can go on hikes, meet the locals and connect with the nature. If you just need to relax and disconnect from the outside world, this is a great pick!

A really amazing and serene ☺️ experience, Beautiful, neat and clean cottages giving you a very calm and mesmerizing view of the nature, away from typical hush and rush of the unnecessary crowded hill station's. Staff is very humble in nature, food is really good. A must visit place for people who wants to enjoy the nature's beauty and have some peaceful time...
