This lovely homestay is bang opposite Chandra Paradise, and has stunning, in-your-face views of the panchachuli range. Every time of the day, the look of the mountains changes and it's a pleasure to view from the patio. I stayed on the 1st floor mountain facing corner room, which is cozy with basic amenities like geyser, blankets, TV, WiFi etc., very reasonably priced with food, best suited for solo travellers and couples. You can see the icy peaks from the window, in the comfort of your bed. Do not expect high end luxury here, its a simple solar powered homely annexe with lovely flowering plants dotting the railings. Pictures do not do justice to the place, it's prettier in person, plus it's recently done up. Although, this may not be the place for fussy travellers, partying groups or very large families. I was told the 2nd floor is being built, and I can't wait to visit again to enjoy an uninterrupted view from the new section. Mr Pangtey is an ex-army gentleman and knows the area quite well, Aunty is jovial and serves home-cooked kumaoni food with love. Being a solo female traveller, she took care of me like a daughter. Dont hesitate to ask her for her madwa ki roti, Munsiyari rajma chawal, Hari sabji, bhang ki chutney, kadi pakoda with jambhu ki chokh or even aloo sabji, they are utterly delicious and nutritious. Their son Nitin helps with the management and is quite well versed with short treks around the area. The family's hospitality is world class. The trip felt too short, I'll definitely visit again for a...
