Resort Prakriti Unwind — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Checked In: 27th April, 2024 Saturday Checked out: 29th April, 2024 Monday Stayed in Room No. 203 Here is my detailed review:: Location :: Excellent, all side open, surrounded by mountains, scenic view all around, pull the curtains and you have gorgeous looking lush greens mountains to look at, enjoy a cup of tea or geen tea in the balcony. Even from there restaurant area, you have fantastic views. I like it so much that I felt like I am here and I don't need to go to any place for sight seeing, this place is good enough, it really helps you unwind. Hmm..... when talking about location, that 800 meters drive when you leave the main road is very stiff and if you are not pro at driving, it will be little painful to drive on that track. Room:: Spacious, well designed, beautiful looking, superbly cleaned, enough power sockets, good lighting, very comfortable bed. A bunk bed for extra person, like it most, cause my son could use it and we didn't have to ask for an extra bed. Fly Catcher installed, heater in every room. All in all, a lot of thought has been given to make your stay joyful and I will say a job very well done. I will post some pics of the room, all the mess in the pics is ours ignore them :) Washroom/Toilet:: Again, very well kept, clean, hot cold water, good lighting, enough space to keep your stuffs, good water pressure, a very powerful exhaust fan, all that you could have asked for is there. So again, a job well done. Open Space/Play Area :: Ample open space to play cricket, badminton, a giant trampolin to keep the kids busy, multiple swings, good upkeep of open area, very green and very clean. A dedicated room for pool, table tennis, carrom. A static cycle is there if you don't want to miss on the workout. Restaurant and Food:: Mostly when I visit a place, the biggest concern is food, what kind of food I will get. This place is heaven in terms of food, what a fantastic cook this place has. He cooks wonderful food, Dal Makhni, Aaloo Gobhi, Chicken Masala, Paneer Butter Masala, the three kinds of bread, kheer everything was delicious, in the breakfast also, omlettes, poori, aaloo bhaji, dosa, sambhar, idlis everything was cooked so wonderfully, you ate more than your appetite, just because of the delecacy of the food. I made sure to meet the chef and say thank you. Awesome guy!! The restaurant is spacious, had a very big screen, good seating arrangements, open and closed as well. Live Music/Bonfire :: They made sure to make your journey pleasant and for that they have high tea with wonderful pakodas and live music, bonfire on demand in winter. Support Staff and Manager :: The Manager "Mr. Amit" who is running the show, wow, what a guy, very gentle, very humble, always looking for avenues where he can help and make you comfortable. He is not only good manager but also a very good human being, well informed about the area. Other support staff are also very cooperative, very positive body language while serving you, there happiness in serving you is visible. Parking:: Enough space for parking and good arrangement to wash your car. To summarize barring a very few things (like the stairs from ground to first floor for my room and that stiff 800 mtrs drive I mentioned, there is hardly anything you can pin point which is not good about the place. If you are planning to visit Chakrata, you must check this place first, if rooms are available, please go for it, you won't regret your decision. Things to Note

However, the journey is well worth the effort once you arrive at this picturesque haven.

One thing more I personally felt the mattesss in rooms should be bit more comfortable as it's sunks a person in between while sleeping. It should be addressed as it creates uncomfortable a little.

Today checked out from Resort Prakriti Unwind ,It was my 4th visit with Family in last 2 years.

We are not very good in writing reviews but I felt I must update my 4th stay at Prakriti.

I have visited many national and international destinations and it is the only resort, I have stayed 4 times. and it was not only me, there were two other families same day ,who have visited this place many time.

I have already updated my last experience in my review and adding something interesting:

Chakrata is a tribal area and due to various army security restrictions, developments have not taken place here , further distance and connectivity from other places are very limited.

but this resort is changing lives of around 30 very poor tribal families.

Whole staff is from very poor and local tribal areas and resort is providing them regular trainings and I must say that every staff is at par to any 5 star hotels.

There farm is also providing job for 5-6 people

I must say , when people are rushing towards big cities, these small resorts and other businesses are making difference.

Delicious homely Food, very co-operative Staff, in the laps of Nature, Live music, lot of games and mesmerizing sunset with sip of Tea makes this property "A perfect destination"

Additional changes:

Now they have started Live music on weekends and that makes your stay more enjoyable.

In last 1 year they have lot of games for kids and elders. So it is a perfect place to enjoy with family and friends.

Stay and food for drivers are complementary.(availability may be checked) .

At last I must say Manager Amit with his team is doing fantastic job.

And kudos to owners Mr. Anil and Mr. Ankit for creating such a beautiful property in very tough terrains.

Will visit soon with more families. Keep doing good work.

You guys are really working hard , good to Mr Chauhan working in gardens, cleaning plastic trash himself. 5 things must do at resort- Track to village in backside of resort , really fantastic Go to their farms and hut at other end, read some books(specially geeta provided by resort) in laps of nature See sunset from Restaurant Terrace Feed birds early in the morning at 7 am. Ask them and must visit hidden Fresh water streams inside the resort.(avoid throwing any trash in water, better clean if you see something). It is a heavenly place , clouds coming to resort 3-4 times in rainy season. Surely coming back for Christmas and New Year function.
