The Treehouse Mukteshwar turned out to be exactly what I seek from a destination in Himalayas. Serene, great food and humble hospitality. In my circle , I am known for finding unexplored destinations, especially in Himalayas and then recommending my friends to visit them. As I couldn't find the hotel of my choice to repeat my vacation in Munsiyari, I decided to head to Mukteshwar, as this property seemed quite interesting to me.||||And the Treehouse Mukteshwar is an amazing find. The location is spot-on described in Google Maps. The parking is a bit tricky however once done, you are at a perfect location. Away from even the hustle of a village, this place provides a spectacular view of Nanda Devi, Trishul and Panchachuli peaks. The view is just impeccable.||||The property itself is made up of wood entirely, which helps in keeping warm in extreme winter. The staff gave us a radiator heater to keep warm at night. The rooms aren't huge, but they are adequate in size and have good quality furnishings. Bathrooms are also well equipped with quality fittings and heated water.||||The staff was amazing to say the least, with our attendant Pramod being always on his toes to give us comfort. Incredible food (that made me overeat by a huge margin) was a cherry on cake.||||Yes, you cannot compare it to a luxury hotel somewhere in planes. But at this altitude, seclusion and peaceful place, the facilities that are offered are just incredible. I could appreciate everything that was on offer here.||||And I will...

I tried several dishes from their menu like Panner Tikka, chilli potatoes etc and none of them were even remotely enjoyable. It's such a shame because one of the things I look forward to when traveling is trying new cuisine, but this hotel failed miserably in that aspect. I was constantly being disturbed by people knocking on my door at odd hours of the night, which was incredibly frustrating. It made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep and I was exhausted throughout my stay. To make the matter worse, they were knocking at odd hours just to sell food!!
Lastly, I found that the hotel was overhyped. It had been advertised as a luxurious and high-end establishment, but in reality, it fell far short of my expectations.
Advice from a frequent traveler avoid this overhyped place as itâs away from the road youâve to climb around 300 stairs to reach the hotel and then more stairs to your room, food is overpriced and youâll regret the...
