Our stay at Windsor Cottages was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst the serene hills of Lansdowne, this place felt like a dreamy escape from the chaos of city life. The property is stunningly located — so much so that it often felt like we were living right inside the clouds. Quite literally, the mist would float through the cottages, creating a surreal, peaceful atmosphere that we’ll remember forever.|The peace and silence around the property was one of the best parts — all we could hear were birds chirping, wind rustling through the trees. It’s the kind of quiet that heals you.|The staff here were incredibly humble, polite, and warm. They made us feel at home right from the beginning. We even played badminton with them one evening, and it honestly felt like we were on a vacation with friends. It’s rare to find such heartwarming hospitality.|The rooms and facilities were excellent — clean, cozy, and well-equipped. The food deserves a special mention — it was fresh, flavorful, and felt homemade in the best way. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every meal was satisfying. The service was prompt and always with a smile.|The owner himself is very courteous and helpful. He didn’t just ensure our stay was smooth but also helped us by sharing local transportation contacts, which made our travel around Lansdowne much easier.|Another surprising delight was their mini adventure park setup — with swings, slides, and a few playful installations. After sightseeing, we’d return and spend time there, enjoying the breeze, the views, and just soaking in the weather. It was pure joy to swing while clouds gently drifted around us!|But the real highlight of our stay was the terrace balcony — our favorite spot throughout the trip. It became our cozy corner where we’d sit for hours, sipping tea, chatting, watching the mist roll in, and feeling completely at peace. That balcony truly made us feel like time had slowed down.|If you’re planning a trip to Lansdowne and looking for a place that offers natural beauty, tranquility, warm hospitality, and comfort — I can’t recommend Windsor Cottages enough. I visited Lansdowne last week and stayed at Windsor cottages for 2 days. My experience at this place was SPECIAL in many many ways which can’t be fully put into words.

The cottages are situated beautifully between all the greenery and a stunning valley view where you can see the most stunning sunset along with crazy movements of the clouds.

Food is TASTY! And the Tea is FANTASTIC! The service is great and the staff is very helpful and kind. All the amenities are perfect and if you need anything, the boys are always on the run.

Apart from Windsor’s beautiful and quiet location and the whole amazing heritage vibe of the place, I had a wonderful experience with the hosts.

I want to express my special gratitude to the hosts who made us feel like their family. Ashish, the property manager took us for local walks and made us so comfortable that we totally forgot that we have just Met admist all the exciting wildlife stories in the area.

Sachin, the owner of Windsor happened to be there and offered to take us for the city walk in the night and to the most special part of our trip next morning- Bhairav Garhi trek. The experience was otherworldly. Sachin and Ashish both helped us throughout the trek as it’s a bit of a steep climb. Their dog and other local dogs accompanied us and the whole experience was so special. We would’ve missed the whole thing, if Sachin and Ashish had not taken this initiative and made us do what we did by taking out their valuable time for us. 🙏🏻

It’s was an experience which will be with us forever and their warmth unforgettable.❤️

We had a lovely stay this October, as a family of three. It's a very budget friendly and pet friendly home away from home kind of place where right from the Owner to the cleaning staff, everyone is a delight - gentle humble people who look after your routine and meals more than you do! A small example was the dinner: We used to have dinner at this place itself, and we expressed our desire to have local cuisine. Despite they not having it on their menu, right from meals to dessert, the Chef ensured amazing delights. The best thing I liked about the place was that they haven't messed up with nature, the cottages are in the heart of the jungle, even the adventure zone has been constructed without cutting any trees. The hospitality, the management, the location as well as the trekking zones around the cottages were a delight. Being slightly away from Lansedowne town, the cottages are away from noise, crowd and chaos. What does anyone coming from a city seek? A perfect get away.

My husband found this place ideal for work from home as well, someday I will plan another trip for that :) and for that their WiFi signals need to be perfect, promised the manager.

I would love to pen another book, from Windsor Cottages! Thank you all for looking us after so well.
