Stayed there with friends-24 people for one night.
Disappointing experience. This is not a resort, it's a home stay with 6 rooms and a pool managed by the owner alone(he also stays in that compound) Not worth the money they charged.
Not ideal for group booking. (Limited small congested rooms with a king bed and one toilet/bathroom). When complaining, he suggest there's a big room with a king bed, one toilet and a gas stove (can use as a kitchen). We have to stack 15 people there without sufficient addl. beds or blankets and using single toilet.
Limited vehicle parking. There is no security guard. Beach is little far- Not beach front. Breakfast- Confirm whether its available or not. (No nearest options for food). Limited room service. Limited entertainment options.
Owner is not an ideal person to manage tourism hospitality services. His interactions are initially impressing till check in. Once checked-in he is demanding money for each and every small service too. Feels like little bit greedy.
Not ready to provide even a portable sound system for our group.
Before booking, ensure what are the facilities provided in their package. Even bath towels or linen.
Lot of good options with better packages are available in and around.
Poor Hospitality, room service.
Anyway not worth the money they charge even...
Read moreMy friend and I came to Coconut Garden right as the Covid-19 times started to affect Kerala and this family welcomed us with open arms!||The rooms we stayed in were very sweet – a double bed, fan, closet and mosquito nets connected to a spacious, bright living room. The whole compound is quite big with coconut and mango trees and lots of space to move around.||As India went in lockdown we felt welcomed here – Sudheesh and his brother Suman bought fruits and vegetables for us and made sure we had everything we needed.||A highlight of the stay for sure is the food! The breakfast, lunch and basically everything that was served was beyond delicious making me look forward to the next day immediately after finishing it.||We ended up staying several weeks, also after the lockdown was less strict and had a great time. Talking, playing games with the kids, celebrating Vishu together, there were many great moments that I like to look back at.||||Thank you for everything!! 🙏||||Ps. The homestay is located super close to the ocean - if you listen closely you will fall asleep to the sound of the...

My experience at this homestay was far from pleasant. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that guest comfort and respect were not priorities. The owner displayed a serious lack of basic manners and courtesy, which set a negative tone for the entire stay.
There was no room service provided—not even for essential needs like clean towels or drinking water. When we brought up concerns, We were met with arguments and attempts to demand additional payments that were never discussed beforehand. This kind of behavior felt both unprofessional and manipulative.
What made things worse was the owner's unpredictable demeanor fluctuating between unreasonably rash and superficially calm. It was confusing and disconcerting. Promises made at the time of booking were broken without explanation, and any effort to hold him accountable was brushed off with irreverence.
In short, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful or respectful hospitality experience. There are far better options where the hosts value their guests and...
