We stayed at 188 Wingrove in Kurseong, booked through Airbnb, for two nights during Christmas, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We traveled from Bangalore to Bagdogra Airport, then headed to Darjeeling — stayed for 2 days before taking a taxi to Kurseong. The drive from Darjeeling to the hotel was about 30 minutes, and the road was easily accessible, making it simple to reach the property without any hassle.
The hospitality of the owners, Sandeep and Triveni, was beyond amazing. They greeted us warmly and made sure we felt completely at home. The homestay was incredibly clean, and the local cuisine they served was delicious! One of the highlights of our stay was the spectacular view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony, thanks to the sunny weather we were lucky to enjoy.
We also had a campfire and barbecue on Christmas Eve, which made the celebration even more special. The calmness and peaceful surroundings of Kurseong were just what we needed. Although we didn’t do any adventure activities (didn’t intend to) simply soaking in the tranquility of the place was refreshing and rejuvenating.
