Akshara Regency — Hotel in West Bengal

This Hotel was advised by some friends for a Year End party program. We had many rooms booked, but the event was a flop. There was no such DJ and we laughed ourselves playing songs on youtube. What went really bad was, outsiders not having family was allowed into the venue, and after couple of drinks they started meddling with family and a real bad words and remarks were spoken which came to our ears. We just overlooked the same since all were drunk. Its really a difference of people living in Cities and villages. Its just cannot live to City standards. There were a group of two men who even stole our Drink bottle and offers our own family if they want a drink. Very risky area since we donot know who are those people. They even eye balled teenage girls.

I booked 2 rooms for 28th to 30th November 2023 through "Make my trip" with full payment almost one month prior to the scheduled date. And got the confirmation mail from "Make my trip". But on the day when we reached there, the hotel people said that there was no room booking on my name. Initially they said that didn't received any communication from make my trip. Later the receptionist said that they got the mail from make my trip only on the previous day when they were fully sold out. And the manager told over phone that he received a mail from Make my trip but as they were fully sold out so he refused the booking.

We did not get room there inspite of making prior full payment. And suffered lots of harrasment. Till now not getting any refund from hotel or make my trip

We stayed there for one week and we loved the place!

Rooms were specious and Furniture including bed are of outcome of aesthetics. Food was awesome (taste like light non greasy home made food), rooms and all the places were properly sanitized and every place including lobby, pool and lounge has strict cleanliness and hygiene maintained.

Staffs are very courteous and caring. Friendly behavior from property owner Mr. Tapan das was "Icing on the cake".

Overall it was a very memorable stay and we plan to stay there again whenever we travel to...
