🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This place is just unreal and looks like you are in heaven. It was my Best of the Best stays. Not sure what should I compliment more... the place or the view from the cottage or the rooms or the people. It was the most IDEAL "perfect vacation" 😌 I ever had.

Let's start with the "How to reach?"🚗🚕🚙🛵 So the homestay is away from hustle and bustle and into the woods. So there's two points from where you can reach the homestay 1. Simana Or 2. Sukhia Pokhri bazar. The road via Simana is not solidified meaning it's mostly muddy when it rains and chances of your car tires skiting is more. So you can chose option 2 via Sukhia Pokhri but it's again off road and the journey is little long but much safer.

🏡Rooms: It's a cottage. So privacy is given utmost priority and mostly the owner doesn't allow the 2nd cottage to be occupied by other parties so that is to me was very kind and must be appreciated 👍

Room heaters available, Geyser available, Washrooms were very clean which is what I liked the most.

📶Network & 🛜 Connectivity: There's a bit network issue if you are Vi user. Airtel runs so so. Jio works fine for calls. Internet is a challenging during 12pm-3pm & 6pm-9pm. I was working from home (there) I faced a lot of challenges but now the owners have installed WiFi. So we could use it during our last day of the stay. Speed - 25 Mbps which is great in mountains.

We faced terrible connectivity issue during office hours. But hey, this place is made to enjoy the nature and limit your screentime to Zero. And it really does serve the purpose. Nobody ideally works from there🤣. But we got lucky that we could and those will be the happiest days of my life.

💙Having said that I also must tell you that I am grateful to Basu bhai the owner of the property he tried helping me with all means. Whenever I needed internet for a Teams call he always offered his Room and connection is better from there as their home is little on a higher altitude. He gave up his room for me which to me is something very touching. I really appreciate it 😊

Safety 🛟 : Property is very safe. Basu bhai and his family lives in the same property just slightly above the cottages and serves food and everything from there. There was ZERO situation when I feel scared.

Food 🍗🍱: We ordered Momos on the first day and it was the most delicious momos I ever had with 🍲😋 soup. They served us both veg and non veg. Chicken 🍗 was very delicious. Infact their vegetables were delicious too. In the breakfast they serve you Noodles, Maggie etc. Over all 10/10.

Sightseeing 🌴🎄: The challenge here is going anywhere from homestay as it's off-road I hope you understand the next town is more than 4-5 kms away. And it's surrounded by forest so if you think you can travel everyday to Darjeeling from here even though it's only 12 kms chances are rare. So plan it properly. We went for sightseeing only 2 days in our 5days of stay. One on 3rd day we visited touristy places of Darjeeling and on the day of our check out we chose the Sevoke road instead of Mirik so that we can visit Lamahata , Teen Chula , Lovers point etc. Again it totally depends on your choice . To me Mirik Road is always the best one out of 3.

Also the Stay in itself is so beautiful and dreamy you hardly feel the need of sightseeing. Not a single day we felt bored.

Nearby🛵: You have Pasupati market, Sukhia Pokhri, Simana View point also there's a tea garden and valley which you can trek from your stay.

Bonus: If you are a Photographer or you are into travel blogs or vlogs you will definitely get best timelapses from 4am-9am obviously for the sunrise however to catch clouds you probably have to wait till the afternoon usually till 11 am it's sunny but then it...

An Unforgettable Stay at Boho Homestay in Darjeeling

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to visit Boho Homestay, a serene and beautiful retreat located in Darjeeling. Owned by the warm and knowledgeable Basanta Rai, this homestay is set in a breathtaking location surrounded by nature’s splendor.

The homestay is nestled amidst lush greenery, with a dense forest spreading below and the tranquil Rangbhang River flowing nearby. The area is alive with the chirping of birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food. Most of the ingredients, including honey, ghee, vegetables, potatoes, and beans, are organically grown on their farm. The meals, lovingly prepared by Basanta Rai’s mother, were absolutely delightful. Every dish carried the warmth and care of a home-cooked meal, served with endless love and hospitality.

The homestay also features a beautiful orchid nursery, with orchids collected from the depths of the surrounding jungle. The vibrant blooms and Basanta’s insights about them added a unique charm to the experience.

Basanta Rai’s deep knowledge of the jungle and its diverse plants made my stay truly unforgettable. One of the most memorable experiences was trekking through the forest with him, learning about rare and unknown plants. Walking through the jungle, surrounded by its raw beauty, and discovering its secrets was an adventure like no other.

Overall, my stay at Boho Homestay was nothing short of magical. The stunning natural surroundings, heartfelt hospitality, delicious home-cooked meals, and the unforgettable trek made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

If you’re a nature lover seeking peace, adventure, and a touch of warmth, Boho Homestay is a destination you must visit. A big thank you to Basanta Rai and his family for creating such a remarkable retreat. I will cherish this experience forever and look forward to...

During a recent trip exploring offbeat destinations around Darjeeling, we chose Boho Homestay—a hidden gem nestled on a tranquil terrace farm. The house offers breathtaking views: to the left lies the sprawling Chamong Tea Estate, while to the right, the charming village of Majuwa Gaon unfolds. Located in Majua Gaon, near Rangbhang/Acchalal Hatta, this serene retreat is close to the North Bengal-Nepal border crossing at Pashupatinagar.

Our host, Basant, and his family were exceptionally warm and welcoming. Despite the homestay’s remote setting, their hospitality and the delicious meals they served—breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks—made our stay incredibly comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. For those seeking a classic homestay experience, Basant Ji can arrange a cozy barbecue or bonfire upon request, even helping with supplies. If you’re visiting in the right season, don’t miss the chance to try the fresh trout fish—a delightful local specialty.

While simply relaxing here is a pleasure in itself, we highly recommend taking short treks to the nearby villages. The surrounding trails offer a peaceful escape, accompanied by the soothing melodies of the region’s diverse birdlife. And for stargazers, the clear night skies here provide a perfect canvas for celestial wonders.

Boho Homestay is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience that lingers in your heart long...
