I had the most incredible experience at Hidden Woods Homestay in Darjeeling. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the warm and gracious host, Amit Ji. He truly is a gem of a person. The homestay itself is a paradise nestled close to the hills, offering breathtaking views of the majestic Kanchenjunga and the charming city.

The interiors of Hidden Woods are beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The beds are soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. But what truly sets this homestay apart is the outstanding food served by Amit Ji, prepared with love and care by his mother and his wife. Every meal was a delight, and I looked forward to savoring the local flavors and homemade delicacies. It was like being part of their family.

Amit Ji's daughter, Ishani, is a sweet and bright girl who studies at Loreto Convent Darjeeling. Her presence adds to the homely and friendly atmosphere of Hidden Woods.

Amit Ji's father, a retired BSF personnel. Amit ji is a former staff from the Sheraton International Chain of Hospitality and hotels.

I planned my family vacation 2021 in the Queen of Hills, Darjeeling and I was looking for a place that can make me and my entire family feel like home; away from home.

And I must say, Amit who is the owner of Hidden Woods Homestay and his family made our overall stay an unforgettable experience.

Staying at hidden Woods was a truly magical experience for my entire family- be it my parents, kid & wife, all of them found so much of warmth and happiness during our stay. And I must share, you may be satisfied with good facilities and service, but when you get a personal touch and care- you feel DELIGHTED! We came across this homestay only by chance when we were looking for accommodation away from the madness of the main city. First day we stayed close to mall road and were a bit disappointed.

When we moved to Amit’s homestay our perception of Darjeeling totally changed. Amit is a true host in every sense. He helped us in every way. He planned our tour around Darjeeling and even dropped us to Gangtok. The homestay is pristine clean and so well kept. Not a spec of dust in any corner. Even the carpets, I have never seen the carpets so clean in any hotel or homestay. And the food is scrumptious to say the least. The chicken curry was awarded as being the bestestt by my son 😂 , even the simple dal was super yumm. When our son was feeling a bit unwell one morning, Amit even arranged for the medicine and got food especially made for him. We are truly grateful for the care and support the family showed.

When we travel to mountains or any offbeat location, we always prefer homestays to gel into the local culture. And I can it without a doubt that this has been the best of the best. The hospitality of the family was really heartwarming. We are staying here whenever we are visiting Darjeeling again.

Location, food, warmth, peace - everything was top notch. A home away from home in true sense.
