Hotel Landmark Mandarmani — Hotel in West Bengal

We booked Rajani Residency online, but after booking they informed us that the hotel was full and shifted us to Hotel Landmark (Hotel Palki). After driving from Kolkata to Mandarmani in heavy rain, we were too exhausted to search for another place, so we had no choice but to agree.

The experience from there was terrible. The staff was extremely rude. They strictly said we must check out by 11 AM sharp and warned that even a minute late would incur a fine. We had booked a non-AC room, but they told us staying in non-AC would cause “power issues” and forced us to take an AC room by paying extra — this was never mentioned while booking.

To make things worse, they told us we must return to the hotel by 10 PM or else the gates would be locked. This is unacceptable for travelers. When we returned a bit late, we actually found the gates closed!

This felt less like a hotel and more like a hostel with unnecessary restrictions and unprofessional behavior. Would not recommend booking this...
