🫥Rude behaviour of staff

We booked two rooms for four people. However, upon arriving at the hotel, the staff told us that they would provide only one room with four single beds. When we questioned this, a hotel staff member started arguing with us. They then told us to contact Agoda customer service, insisting that they would only provide one room. However, after about half an hour ,they changed their statement and said they were actually providing two rooms with four beds.

🫥Lack of hygiene and cleanliness

The room was extremely dirty. There was lizard droppings on the bedsheet, along with visible stains. Spider webs covered various items like the rack and almirah, and dirt was spread all over the room. The blanket in the almirah was filthy. When we requested cleaning, they took an hour to clean the room and change the bedsheets, wasting our time. Shockingly, we even found a dead pigeon in the commode, and the washroom was in a very unhygienic condition.

🫥Rusted lock

The lock was very old and rusted, making it difficult to open. When we requested a replacement, they managed to unlock it, but afterward, the lock became unusable again.

🫥Lack of staff

No staff was available to assist us with our luggage; they clearly stated that they had no staff , only single person was managing all the hotel.

🫥Electricity issue

We went outside, and when we returned, the room light was not working. We called the staff, and they contacted an electrician, who took about an hour to fix the issue, wasting our time again.

🫥Lack of basic amenities

There was no TV, no free WiFi, and no private beach at the hotel. When we asked for the WiFi password, they said they didn’t have WiFi, even though their website mentioned that they did. The only sea view was visible across the road, but it was not accessible due to a tall boundary. Additionally, there was no beach at the hotel as advertised. They only provided a small soap for bathing—no shampoo, no dental kit, no hair dryer, and not even hand wash were provided.

When we requested a clean blanket, they provided only one blanket for two people. There were many mosquitoes in the hotel, making it difficult for us to sleep properly with just one blanket.

We booked the room for two days, so when we asked for fresh towels on the second day, they changed their statement and said they had already given us towels. After that they provided only one towel for two people fir second day.

🫥No security

At night, while we were sleeping, we heard a loud noise, similar to a hammer striking the roof. We called the manager, but he told us to check around ourselves.they did nothing to address the issue. There was also another entrance to the hotel. A staircase on the roof was connected to the main road outside, allowing anyone to enter the hotel.

🫥Total time waste

For breakfast, we ordered four plates of puri sabzi at the hotel. However, they provided only two plates after half an hour and the remaining two plates another half an hour later. We had planned to go out early, but they wasted our time. They wasted our time upon arrival by arguing about the number of rooms, then by cleaning the room before check-in, as well as during the electricity issue and breakfast.

🫥SUMMARY My personal experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we faced multiple issues, including arguments about the number of rooms, unclean conditions, and poor service. The staff was unhelpful, and basic amenities like WiFi, toiletries, and proper housekeeping were either missing or poorly managed. Additionally, the long delays for cleaning, electricity repairs, and even breakfast wasted a lot of our time. During my recent visit to Tajpur and Shankarpur on dated 14-16 th March 2025, I stayed at a hotel which offered both positive aspects and significant shortcomings.

Pros: The hotel's location is a notable advantage, situated within 1.5 km of both Tajpur and Shankarpur beaches, making it convenient for beach enthusiasts. Furthermore, its proximity to the Marine Driveway provides a picturesque view from the rooftop, which is indeed a highlight for guests seeking scenic experiences.

Cons: Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros in this case.

Room Conditions: The rooms were in poor condition, characterized by outdated infrastructure and inadequate maintenance. During our stay, we booked three rooms, all of which were unsatisfactory. Several air conditioners were malfunctioning, and despite repeated follow-ups, the hotel manager's temporary resolution did not address the underlying issues effectively.

Cleanliness: Cleanliness standards were far below acceptable levels. Burned cigarette butts were found on the floor upon check-in, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and preparation of the rooms.

Washroom Hygiene: The washrooms were unclean and appeared to have been neglected before our arrival, which was deeply disappointing.

Staff and Service: The hotel had only three staff members – the manager, one cook, and one server. The manager seemed overwhelmed and lacked the organizational skills needed to handle multiple guests efficiently.

Complementary Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was subpar in terms of both quantity and taste. Options were limited to bread omelets or puris with vegetables, and no beverages such as tea or coffee were provided. Guests were instead advised to seek beverages elsewhere.

Basic Amenities: Complimentary water was not provided, and the toilet kits only included soap and towels, which fell short of standard hospitality practices.

Car Parking: The parking facility was an open area beside the road with no security measures. The manager also did not maintain any records of vehicles using the parking space.

Summary: While the hotel's location and rooftop views are its redeeming features, the overall experience was deeply unsatisfactory due to poor room conditions, cleanliness, inadequate staff, and a lack of basic amenities. The location is just on the beach and sea view from terrace is the one and only benefit of staying here. Sea is not visible from any of the rooms though only visible from the roof top. Entire hotel is not maintained at all. There rooms are not maintained, not clean and insects are everywhere. There is no TV, electric kettle in the room. Bed sheet was dirty, manager told there is no extra bed cover. Geyser never worked. AC has no remote and fan has no regulator. Both just either off or ON in full throttle. They claimed they will provide free car parking and WiFi. But parking place is outside the premises and they don’t have any control over that. When asked password , they told WiFi not available. No CC TV camera around and no service at all. Upon complaining about things, they are just saying - we are short of staffs. We ordered lunch which is very ordinary and quantity was not matching with menu card. They don’t even give a bottle of water complimentary in room. The complementary breakfast puri-sabji was good in taste but in limited quantity. For that also I had to follow up 5 times. The bread omelette was terrible. If you just enjoy sea view from terrace and can ignore everything else, then only visit this place. There used to a restaurant on roof that is also not...

If you want to stay out of hustle and bustle of Digha-Mandarmoni-Tajpur, this is the place. Located between Tajpur and Sankar our, just beside the new Marine drive road. Both Tajpur and Sankarpur is about 15 minutes walking. One side of this property is village with large paddy fields, ponds, huts and the other side is vast Bay-Of-Bengal. This beautiful property have AC/NONAC rooms, large washroom with hot water, european style WC. A nice lawn and wonderful terrace. This terrace is USP of this hotel. You can enjoy the beauty of sea while having your refreshments 😍 Food is excellent! We had fresh sea food 😎 All the stuff of this hotel is very cordial and always happy to help. #Location - Superb #Cleanliness - Excellent #Service - Excellent #Food - Excellent

If you want to stay out of hustle and bustle of Digha-Mandarmoni-Tajpur, this is the place. Located between Tajpur and Sankar our, just beside the new Marine drive road. Both Tajpur and Sankarpur is about 15 minutes walking. One side of this property is village with large paddy fields, ponds, huts and the other side is vast Bay-Of-Bengal. This beautiful property have AC/NONAC rooms, large washroom with hot water, european style WC. A nice lawn and wonderful terrace. This terrace is USP of this hotel. You can enjoy the beauty of sea while having your refreshments 😍 Food is excellent! We had fresh sea food 😎 All the stuff of this hotel is very cordial and always happy to help. #Location - Superb #Cleanliness - Excellent #Service - Excellent #Food - Excellent
