We stayed here with family for a night (which should be enough ) from 14th to 15th October. We booked two tent houses.||GOODS:||1. Situated right at the foot of two massive rock like hills, the resort is one of the best located resorts in west bengal. Easily the best place for terrific photography and relaxation.||2. The tent houses were pretty good and spacious. The bathroom was big.||3. Service was the highlight. They were very fast and responsive especially the guys at the restaurant (which generally remained deserted due to weekdays low number of guests ). They made sure everything was served and never hesitated to do extra stuff .|Remember this is the service we received when the resort was not jam packed .||4. Food was terrific!! Everything was tasty and tasted like any 5 star restaurant. What is more praiseworthy was the cooks took the special instructions seriously and made amendments based on what we instructed example - their chowmin for some reason was spicy . We asked them next day not to add any chilli and bingo! There was no chilli in the chowmin next day.||BADS:||1. A pretty obvious one in such areas is frequent power cuts. It happened once the night we stayed and noone really turned on the generator for pretty long time hence our sleep got disturbed a bit.||2. Plates ! The plates they serve in the dining hall have permanent stains in them. This is very disappointing. Very poor cleanliness. You often feel like not eating on them . And by permanent stains, i mean the ones that you cannot remove with tissues, but needs aggressive cleaning.||3. Since very less people were there , the restaurant was totally empty and when we went to eat there, it was stinking. They don't bother spraying that area much unless someone asks .||4. Remotes of TV or AC in room and the restaurant were kinda dodgy .||Overall, a resort that can definitely be improved in some areas as i mentioned above but still, it easily qualifies to be one of the best resorts in terms of location, service and food quality in Ayodhya hills and your perfect destination for a winter weekend trip. They belong to Pearl Tree which also owns Kushal Palli where also we had a...
Read moreThe whole experience was just Awesome if I've to put it in one word. It's perfect if you want to stay for a few days here & you definitely won't get bored. There's quite a big swimming pool that's open from 8am to pm. It's clean & big enough for a good swim. It's also ain't deep enough so there's no risk but you won't be able to dive in it. The view from the pool is the highlight of the stay coz the hill is just in front of you & it's just mesmerizing to watch. The garden in the middle is beautiful. There are so many chair tables & couches for you to sit, chat, relax & also get your food there & eat. The breakfast buffet is complimentary & delicious with different fruits, juices, dishes & even desserts. Also the food you order at lunch & dinner will have a large variety in their menu(but some of them might not be available) & the food is great. They made some mistakes with the food but I'm fine to overlook it since they fixed it. All the staff is well-behaved & so is the manager. The rooms are spacious, clean & luxurious enough. They provide you with all the amenities in your room. We didn't stay in the tents so can't speak about them. The room tariffs largely vary from 2.5K to 8K depending on season. We stayed at 4K per room. It's better to book before arriving coz it's very busy during the seasons. They organize a Chauu Naach in the evening for about 45 minutes & the Mahisashurmardini is just enthralling. The energy & the vibe that this show emits conveys the reason why this dance of Purulia is so famous. But if you want to visit the locations of Ayodhya Hill, it's very far away from this resort. But on the other hand you will get to visit the Chorida village where the locals create the masks for the Chauu dance. Overall I loved this resort & will look to...
