We went there for the belated birthday celebration of our son. This property was recommended by Shri Ujjal Sil, a self-made tourism entrepreneur from Maynaguri who has always been my last resort in picking a destination within North Bengal. Like every other time, Ujjalbabu's choice this time, too, was immaculate . Having stayed at almost every renowned tourism property of the region over the last one and half decades, we were in the lookout for something different this time, something without the usual clamor, without the usual hustles and bustles of the hotels infested with unruly tourists in the region. And as our good old family friend Ujjalbabu knew what we were looking for, he was bang on in suggesting the property.||Surrounded by picturesque tea gardens, all belonging to the Jadabour Tea Estate, this resort, just within half an hour drive from Maynaguri can be your perfect next weekend destination if you are looking for something beyond the mundane services offered by every hotel in the surroundings. As this property is just a few minutes away from the Medla tower, you can also plan animal sighting if you book tickets of the safari at the Medla ticket counter. The rooms are neat and clean, services are topnotch and the quality of food is also amazing. The cook Sujit took special care for my kids and made sure that the foods were not too spicy. He even prepared 'Payesh', a traditional Bengali dessert usually made on occasions like the birthdays or pujas. If you are planning to stay there, please make sure that you get Room no 105. It is so huge that your kids can almost play football there and the view is amazing, too. The terrace is another wonderful attraction and you can have your cup of tea there appreciating the serene beauty of Ramsai with your family and friends. Addition of some garden umbrellas there would be a nice idea. The garden surrounding the building needs a bit professional touch, as well.||It was amazing to have long chats with the manager Mr.Sridhar Bangur, who happens to be an amazing person and a true tourism and wildlife aficionado himself. His zeal in conserving nature and its plentiful resources at Ramsai is truly appreciable. His management and sense of hospitality are praiseworthy, too. ||Overall, it is a classy property and a must-go for those who are looking for serene locations, sweet little strolls in the lush green tea gardens, quiet nights with family and friends. And if you are lucky, you may sight a leopard or a python, too. I'll surely visit the place again in the coming winter.||Phone No of Ujjalbabu- 8670966607 ( In my opinion, he is perhaps the best tour planner in the region)|Phone No of Manager Mr. Bangur-...
