Tashi Home Stay, Icha Gaon — Hotel in West Bengal

Okay so let me tell you all that the first 7-8 reviews are totally different from the one which we have experienced. Experiences may vary from person to person,though. Our experience was extremely dreadful and unpleasant. We stayed there for two days. The behaviour of the staff was very poor. They were arrogant, impolite and full of attitude. The rooms were messy, the blankets were very dirty and had a weird smell. The condition of the washroom was below par. The basin was full of dirt and hot water wasn't available too (we had to fetch a bucket of water on our own). The snacks they gave were raw (Veg Pakora) and when we complained about it, their response was like-"We will make the rotis like this only for dinner". So mean, right?The tea was literally served on the floor. Some paper cups and two jugs of tea were casually kept on the floor whereas other people living in the same homestay were served tea in ceramic cups and when we tried to record it, they snatched the phone and told us to leave the homestay if we had any problem. Such attitude is unbearable. I would suggest everyone to avoid Tashi Homestay. Don't be fooled by the first...

They are so nice people. We visited icchegao in February..the weather was very cold. The room they had given us was nice and clean. We have no problem in staying there. Though there was no hot water in bathroom and as the weather was cold 🥶 it was a little pinful for us to use the bathroom! But we have whatever we asked for.. We stayed 1 day.. Per person the rent was 700/- with the food they provided us.. including the snacks item like coffee/tea and pakoras. (Off season) They have their own small shop where people who love to 🍷🍻 can buy something for them. The shop has other necessary things if you have some emergency you can have the basic medicine or food or pad or other things. I personally love them. They are very nice and kind person.

Best homestay for staying in Ichhegaon! We stayed there for a night and what an experience! This homestay is on the top of the village and offers us a beautiful view of mountains from its rooms and varanda. One can enjoy the best sunset view with Mount Kanchenjungha in Ichhegaon from this homestay. Rooms are clean and have attached bathroom. I don't have anything to say about their services!! Premika Nana is just awesome!! Her cooking hand is also very good!! She took us to the hike from ichhegaon to silerygaon! So I'll suggest to stay at Tashi Homestay if you want to visit Ichhegaon without any second thoughts! Their prices are also very affordable. 900/- per person including fooding and lodging.
