Review: The Grand Casa Hotel, Siliguri – A Relaxing Urban Escape with Room for Culinary Growth
Nestled slightly off the main road in Siliguri, The Grand Casa Hotel is a hidden gem with a welcoming personality and an eye for elegant, boutique-style detail. From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the graceful sidecars-inspired architecture, the relaxed ambiance, and the thoughtfully curated aesthetics of the property.
First Impressions & Hospitality
Although the approach road is a bit patchy, once inside the gates, the experience transforms. The front desk team deserves a special mention for their courteous, warm, and efficient handling—every query was met with patience and a smile. Even the bell boy’s ever-present grin added to the overall positive vibes. It’s clear that hospitality is embedded into the ethos of the hotel.
Rooms & Facilities
The rooms are beautifully decorated, exuding warmth with subtle, modern touches. Soft lighting, pleasing aromas, and a spotless environment made our stay extremely comfortable. The well-maintained parking space and in-house amenities—such as the spa, swimming pool, and gym—were just the perfect combination for a rejuvenating stay.
Families will also appreciate the thoughtful addition of a play zone for children, and for shopping enthusiasts, the Central Mall and other local markets are just a short drive away.
Dining Experience
The dining hall has a sophisticated and relaxed ambiance that enhances the overall mood of the meals. Though the culinary spread has promise, there’s still room for refinement. The signature Avocado Sriracha Chicken Salad stood out with its freshness but could benefit from a little more balance and punch in flavor. Similarly, the Chicken Rogan Josh, while tender and well-prepared, lacked the rich aroma that defines this iconic dish.
Despite this, our dining experience was made smoother by Milan Pan, whose helpful menu suggestions and friendly presence added a personal touch to our meals. His service is worth appreciating.
Final Thoughts
What The Grand Casa does best is make you feel good. It’s not just a hotel—it’s a relaxing atmosphere wrapped in soft luxury and sincere smiles. The positive aura, aesthetic interiors, courteous staff, and relaxing facilities combine to make this place highly recommended for business travelers, families, and couples alike.
Verdict: A property that wins your heart through elegance and energy. With a little more attention to culinary finesse, The Grand Casa Siliguri is set to become a standout hospitality destination in...
Read moreSome of the staff are amazing — two lovely dudes on the front desk, and then the Nepali waiting/bar staff were above and beyond, those guys need a promotion, they were way better than the restaurant/bar manager. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have good washrooms. Only thing which was a little confusing was when booking the description regarding balconies and lavazza coffee machines isn’t true, should probably re-write the info so it’s clear. Also regarding inclusive food, they should probably make a separate menu for that so it’s easier to navigate from the a la carte menu, but food quality is good and overall worth going, I would suggest not getting inclusive meals if your are a western tourist and opt to purchase from full menu because Indian food daily is very heavy and I would have preferred to have lighter options than buffet or huge portions. But again, food there is way better than most places in Siliguri, restaurant waiting staff are dope and have best customer service skills within the hotel. The bar guy makes really good mocktails and if you want proper coffee best to ask him rather than other staff cos he knows what an espresso should be otherwise you’ll get machine instant. Pool is lovely, garden is very chilled. Hotel facilities are clean, well maintained and of a high standard. They also have a nice spa. I should have ordered way more dessert whilst I was there to be honest as their dessert options are really decent. Overall best hotel in Siliguri, everywhere else we stayed didn’t compare. Main thing is staff are actually good and it’s a nice environment, some more than others as mentioned above. Would highly recommend going here than somewhere else, especially if you are a...

I have been staying at Grand Casa, Siliguri, for quite some time now , more than five times and had always spoken highly of it to friends and family. I genuinely liked the place and even recommended it to many others who ended up staying here based on my feedback.
However, today’s experience has completely changed my perception of the hotel.
It was raining heavily in the morning, and the hotel staff had moved my car from inside the premises to outside — without informing me or giving a valid reason. When I requested them to bring the car back in, the staff not only failed to act but behaved extremely rudely and disrespectfully. I was left to go out in that downpour, get the car myself, and drive it back — while hotel staff stood by and did nothing.
What hurt even more was seeing how they gave special attention and service to VIP guests, while regular, loyal customers like me were treated with indifference.
Even the front desk staff showed no responsibility or courtesy. There was no apology, no action, no empathy — just blank stares and a careless attitude.
For a hotel I once trusted and promoted proudly, this kind of behavior was deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable. Hospitality is not just about rooms and services — it’s about how you treat your guests, especially the ones who return time and again.
I expected better. Sadly, I will now reconsider all future stays — and so will those who once...
