No, this is not worth it.

Details: Booked this hotel via Goibibo - 3 people, 1 night. 2 senior citizens, and 1 midlife crisis citizen. The reason we chose this hotel in Madhavaram (out of town) is because of the proximity of the hotel to the bus stop, from where we had to catch an interstate bus at midnight. We reached the reception around 12 noon. The lobby was a big, darkish, unpopulated space. A man with a very unwelcome face was in charge at the reception. A woman was also there, in charge of being an assistant. Man took a while to figure out my fully paid online booking. He asked my name thrice, PNR once, kept typing away furiously, for no result. Eventually he got through, check in done. Then an over-smiling man (the one who expects money to move your stroller) appears. Takes us to our room on the 7th floor. Dark, dusty, smelly long corridor. (He was the only smiling person we encountered.) The room we were given was a disaster. No light in the lobby of the room. The plaster from all the walls, i mean all the walls, was peeling in multiple places, with dust on the floor, and more dust in the areas where the wall meets the floors. Dirty bed and pillow covers, in various shades of whites. Smeared sheets. 2 towels for 3 people. No soap. Had to ask for soap, and we were given 2 small soap bars. No tea, coffee sachets. Of course not. 1 drinking glass for 3 people. The shower curtain was an ancient relic, dirty and grimy. The toilet was dirty. The flush took ages to fill. The sink tap was bent out of shape, extremely loose, and barely hanging and working. The towel hanger, broken. The clothes hanger on the door broken. The old unused ac ducts were full of cobwebs. We didn't try to turn the tv on. There was no food, no wifi. The view from the 7th floor window was a relief, and the ac worked fine. I hope they improve. Not recommended.

P. S.: For food, a walk to the roundabout by the bus stop does the trick. A bunch of restaurants. Don't expect traffic signals to work or traffic to stop for pedestrians. Take the name of your favourite protector overlord, peel your eyes wide open, and walk....

First of all we discussed with you about all the negative reviews you've got on Google. You asked us not to worry about Google reviews, saying your recent clients are very satisfied. I highly doubt that now.

I must express my deep disappointment with the recent birthday function we hosted at your banquet hall. The evening, which was meant to be a joyous celebration, turned into an embarrassing ordeal.

The food service was a significant letdown. Not only was the food delayed beyond a reasonable waiting time it was 9:10 when we got the promised biriyani, but the taste was also far from satisfactory. Our guests, who had come to enjoy a special occasion with us, were left waiting hungrily and were eventually served with subpar dishes that were far from the promised quality. This was not the experience we had anticipated or paid for.

You said you have speakers in the hall in which we can play songs. it was barely usable. I would've arranged my own speakers, if I was notified about the faulty speakers beforehand. How a birthday party would be without any sort of music.

What added to our distress was the fact that our friends and family, had to witness the shortcomings of the banquet hall. It was humiliating to explain the situation to our guests and watch them endure a less-than-pleasant dining experience. Their presence at the event meant a lot to us, and we had hoped to impress them with your venue's service and cuisine. Unfortunately, that was far from the case.

We chose your banquet hall with high expectations, hoping for a memorable and enjoyable celebration. Instead, we were left with a sense of embarrassment and disappointment. This experience has tarnished our perception of your establishment, and I felt compelled to share our unfortunate encounter. We sincerely hope that you take our feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to avoid similar situations for future clients.

Date of event : 16.06.2018- Birthday Hall : Madhumitha Time - 6 pm Dinner -Veg from 7 pm

Hotel outdoor cleanliness : Filth around and inside the Campus, seems like management is no way bothered about this hotel.

Waiting area:

No AC switched on for the entire day in this summer.

Reception courteousness -Zero stars - Insisted for cash as advance for the complementary room whereas I was ready to pay by card or pay at the time of check out. But reception could not understand this and took my card as security till I pay the advance.

Corridors - smoking smells in pathway leading to rooms and rooms were ok but the management can think of relooking at cleanliness of the entire hotel.

Rooms- no major issue

Event hall- flooring was not cleaned properly and given

Food - as below

Welcome drink - horrible - no ice - served in used plastic containers which were used again after a drink without washing

Buffet utensils- seem like they have not been cleaned for ages and the spoons were stinking

About the food 1 we ordered butter roti and what came is some thing made out maida

Kadai planner did not have panner at all

Veg cetinaad- ok it saved me

Gobi Manchurian - no one bothered to take - leaving it to you to judge

Curd vadai- worst

Gulab jamun - need crushers to break it

Very cheap ice cream used White rice and rasam were the only good items

The chef and the banquet manager is not Ready meet and take the feedback hence giving the feedback here

On top of it they go by the number of plates and have been Charging me even for kid plates

Also the banquet manager and chef were not ready to listen to the feedback and saying that this is what you can expect from us.

Over all worst experience and waste of money.

Suggesting all to stay away from this hotel for banquet bookings

Thanks and...

This is hotel nightmare. The room looks like it’s under construction yet the rusted and poorly maintained fixtures suggest an old room. Stains on the sheets and pillows including shoe prints, ink marks and dubious looking splotches that I’m sure will shine bright under UV light. The bedsheets re too short for the bed. If not for a reception here I’d stay miles away in another area of Chennai and suffer the traffic any time. Amenities are lacking. Only two little bars of soap. Better bring your own toothbrush and toilet paper! No dustbin in the room or bathroom so feel free to add to the dumpster theme. Room bar fridge isn’t working. Receptionist is many times colder than the fridge or room air conditioning that isn’t working well. I’ve slept rough before when situations and conditions call for it but this is unbelievable for a supposed 3-star hotel that’s apparently only a year old. Shocking.

Worst place to hold any event. The AC in AC rooms don't work The wallpaper in all the rooms are torn and dirty. The toilets have broken faucets and doesn't flush. The common toilet in the event floor is very unhygienic. The roof of some toilets are caving in. They charge 2500 for a room with no room service and basic facilities. They won't clean their event halls before the event (old cups and litter is left untouched) They tend to change the reserved event halls right before the event. The food is horrible. There is only a 50% chance that the room keys they provide will actually open the door. The staff here are just there to collect the money, they won't provide basic hotel service. The lift gets stuck frequently. There is regular power cuts. The corridors are completely dark. It feels as though 1star is too high a rating for this hotel.
