MAXONE Balikpapan — Hotel in Balikpapan

I was staying more than 3 days, I booked 2 rooms, it was 1 deluxe and 1 standart room.. One day the reception asked if I want to extend or not, I said I'd like to extend and asked her is there any other deluxe room for my friend I because the standart room is too small for them.. The reception told me that they need to check first and will get back to me again.. So then I wait.. Couple hours later she called me again (the reception, I think her name is Janah or Hanah something like that, and funny thing is she asked me again if I want to extend or not and that my room is sold so I need to check out.. How can she asked if I want to extend or not when she already sold my room?, and she sold my room when I'm still in there??.. To her argument is because I don't confirm whether I want to extend or not, when clearly I already I said earlier I want to extend but I would like a bigger room for my friend if there's any other room avail and she was going to check it for me.. Later on she told me that there's is another room for me but I need to pay higher price, I said I don't want to move room, I hate packing my things again, if could maybe she just can upgrade the guest that already booked my room and I'll pay for the upgrade.. But she insist for me to move.. So then finally I checked out from the hotel, feeling insulted that she sold my room when I'm still in there, saying that there's a group coming and that their reservation made a miscommunication so my room sold and I need to get out.. Other than that I don't have any complaints.. The breakfast is not bad, the doorman, restaurant staff is really friendly, and the hotels overall clean enough.. Maybe I'm just not significant enough to keep as a guest as they already got groups guests coming.. Hope they don't discriminate guests like that in the...

If you're looking for a family hotel that has numerous facilities, great food, impeccable service, then Maxone is the right one for you. Maxone Hotel offers many different facilities such as a kids playground, gym, bistro (one if the best I have ever tried, I highly reccomend savouring the chinese cuisine and their breads), a liquor store, swimming pool, laundry, spa, and massive ballrooms and meeting rooms. The service was great, they welcomed me with warm greetings and smiles every hour. The rooms were spotless and comfortable as well, hot water was working just fine and they even provide free bottled drinking water every day. Though I would like to add that the ballroom is equipped with a videotron, definitely very rare especially for the size. You can't really find that in any hotels I've ever stayed in Balikpapan. Not to mention, there is momoyo and burger bangor just outside of the lobby, very convinient and surprisingly, very delicious as well. If you're looking for a quick bite I highly recommend coming here as the momoyo has AC so I usually buy a burger bangor beside and eat ice cream after. Very pleasant I must say. Stayed for 3d2n, to sum it up here my point room is spacious foods are good good wifi connection first day i stay at room 611, doh its the worst: room is smelly, i asked for room spray but still it doesn’t work, even the smell stays on my shirt bed sheets and bathroom are smelly as well washtub is leaked towels look dirty and smelly a lot of small insects in the shower area hot water doesn’t work noisy in the outside TV turn off itself when I sleep rooftop bar is not accept card for spending less thank 100k, I asked the waitress to come to my room (since i only bring my card) for payment in cash they said we cannot come to the room. Like come ooonnn, you are not the only one waitress at the time. So i take my money in my room and back to rooftop and back to my room.
