West Point Hotel — Hotel in Bandung City

My assistant booked the room for me, because it's the closest hotel to Grand Sudirman Ballroom - where our company expo was held. I read the Google Reviews one day before my trip and was horrified to find out about the cockroaches and stained bedsheets. I wanted to cancel the booking but it was a non-refundable booking.

I asked to inspect the rooms before checking in. Upon entering the room, I noticed a strong smell... must be some sort of insecticide, and the bedsheets were all stained and grey-ish. The pillows looked very worn-out, and pardon my language - a little disgusting. Wallpapers were torn here and there... Aircon was warm.

Upon repeated complaining to the front desk, he finally put me in touch with his supervisor. His supervisor was very kind and patient, but he told me that management is not willing to cancel the booking... so he can only offer to upgrade all our rooms to executive rooms.

It was a lot better - in terms of smell, and aircon... but my bedsheet looked very dirty (photo attached) and housekeeping had take out 4-5 sheets, until he found a clean one.

Not to mention the cockroaches. Omg. Imagine coming back dead tired after standing 8 hours in an expo booth, and coming back to your room to find a nest of cockroaches in the washroom (I didn't dare to take photos of the nest, but I did take photos of some of the cockroaches in the bathroom).

Breakfast was very bland, eggs were cold (pre-cooked), and knives for the jam and butter were covered with ants (I told the waiter but he just gave me a new knife and left the old ones there).

Routes to the hotel was also inconvenient and not...

Me & my wife arrived and c/i at Executive room #609 at arround 7.30pm on Sat 21 Sep'24. Upon c/i in the room my wife found german cocroach running arround in the bathroom and also found under the blanket after she open the bed, and also found one running arround in top of room glass table.

Then we directly came back down to lobby and asked for a room change. After waiting for about 45mnt one of the Reception escorted us to a new room. In the evelator we asked what type of room we are being escorted and he said to a Deluxe room. Then we refused to continue proceeding to the new room and asked to be placed at same type of room or upgrade, not down-grade.

In the reception the Supervisor explained that there's no more same type of room available except Suite room, and he have to get an approval from the Manager.

Then we demand to meet and speak to the Manager on Duty Manager incharge, but he said the Manager already went home and could not be contacted.

I said "wow" what a 4 star hotel... I think its far from its status, it should be Melati type Hotel. Because the Spv dont have autorithy to upgrade, he suggested me to get full refund....what an incredible solution I laughed......I feel pity with the Supervisor for engaging me....

Then I said yes and said will never comeback to this hotel. Then I found out that other guest/reviewer also complaint the same matter and no improvements at all...
