Disappointed upon being 4 years loyal guests.
I stayed in this resort since late 2014 or early 2015 and has been returning each year, recommended to multiple friends and family which eventually stayed there as well (if you want i can provide you the list).
The place was so special for me and my fiancée, we decided to choose the place as our wedding venue for next year. I made the necessary appointment to meet up with the marketing name Rati 3 weeks prior the appointment (as I need to fly all the way there and will only stayed for 3 days for family matter).
Finally, I went there and met with Rati (the marketing). Nothing was prepared, she didn’t prepare any wedding package, food catering for choice, and most of the wedding discussion was totally different over the phone discussion. Initially she told me, they require us to book the entire place and they dont provide me any other services, no EO, no catering , no entertainment, etc. but while I’m there , all become mandatory and tentative without any price list whatsoever. Not to mentioned she quoted a fantastic price of room price U$250 to U$300 per night, which I as regular guest over 4 years know was not true.
The worst part was (and this is why I’m so upset). she’s comparing me with an (foreigner) wedding they hosted before and how it was 2 days fully book entire resort and less troublesome for her (I’m local and my fiancée is foreigner - she didnt know, as there was only me to met her). Her attitude was so bad, I decided to left.
To Trikora beach resort owners, Mr. Peter, I’m not looking for apology nor complimentary gift or whatsoever. This review is just to let you know how I as a customer is extremely disappointed by the services (I was there while you only have 8 units and still under construction and keep coming back every year). By the way, Rati kinda challenged me to put this review, when i told her i was disappointed. So here you are.
This all happened early...
Read moreThe location itself is nice, close to the beach and peaceful but premises are old, dirty and poorly maintained - the rooms are very basic, beds are not comfortable and feel dirty. The bathrooms are old and dirty -the shower head, wooden boards came apart. There are very few facilities and options for entertainment - there is only 1 restaurant with limited menu (many options were not available and not many options for vegetarians) and no buffet breakfast. The pools were cleaned only after we complained. Very poor customer service as the staff either did not understand English or were unwilling to accomodate requests and it was hard to find any staff around. It's not well lit at night and there's no entertainment for children apart from the beach and pool. The reception staff informed us there were life vests for children but there was noone at the "sports centre" and they did not have any small size life vests for kids.Given that therre were very few guests at the resort that weekend, the service could have been a lot better to take care of the few of us who were there. We had to keep complaining before anything was done. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful but there was no other customer service provided through our stay. The photos and reviews do not accurately reflect how the premises are. The beach is beautiful but the rooms are not comfortable, and you can hear traffic from the main road. Do not recommend for families with kids as it is really boring. The pictures and reviews on trip advisor do not accurately reflect the state of...
Read more||I really enjoyed my stay at trikora. All the villas have roofs cleverly made of tightly-woven leaves, and has furniture made of locally- sourced wood and even drift wood, which creates an authentic feel of a close-to-nature stay, not artificial or superficial at all. On top of that the resort was covered in carpet grass and fine sand, which makes you feel closer to nature and makes it feel more relaxing. The villas were close, a very short walk away from the beach, so you can easily watch and listen to the waves anytime of the day. The rooms were simple though spacious and clean. There is a also a swimming pool. The restaurant is also next to the beachside, where you can eat and soak in the sea, sun and breeze which is relaxing and picturesque. Both the local and non- local foods here were good and tasty though it takes a while. If you’re into kayaking, snorkelling, SUP etc there is also equipment you can rent. At night the trees which are deliberately on the beachside are decorated with lights, which makes creates a mesmerising and beautiful scene. |The service was very good- the staff were very helpful, polite and patient.I also appreciate the attention to detail- from the unique construction of the villas to the decoration. |Overall, My stay there was enjoyable. You’ll get an authentic, close-to -nature experience, a place to unwind and enjoy nature, with simpler(though yes there’s still air con, tv and good heaters) and clean rooms, away from the bustle...
