Pusako Hotel — Hotel in Bukittinggi

My review is only based on the one night my family and I stayed at the hotel while we were on holidays.

A supposedly 4 star hotel, however based on our experience I can only give the hotel 1 star for friendly star and neat gardens, everything else was awful.

Issues Encountered: Unclean bathroom - visible mould growing everywhere & soap scum Toilet was leaking No hot water in shower Light & Fan was not working in bathroom Power outlets were not working No Wifi in Rooms Couldn't make a call with the phone in the room Kettle was leaking and didn't work. Cracked tiles No Air Conditioning Do Not Disturb button was broken Broken Cupboards Breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:00am. Breakfast was not ready until 7:00am. Couldn't have breakfast since we needed to leave at 6:30am. Etc

Based on the cost for to stay at this 4 star hotel (900.000+) the facility did not live up to their expectation and did not provide value for money compared to other 4 star hotels.

I can only imagine what this hotel was like when it opened in 1992, but know its just a rundown, unfunctional, useless 1 star building. For the good staff working there I can only hope senior management are planning to do a major remodel to bring it back...

Old hotel which requires MAJOR refurbishment. Perhaps it was grand in its peak during 1990s when it was still managed by Sol Meliá. Sadly, now the grand ambiance is just a history.||The hallway is dark and eerie. Minimum lighting. So is the room. Old TV with very few local channels.||The bathroom is abit dirty with alot of mold. There's no nozzle. ||We stayed there two nights because we couldn't find any other hotels due to long weekend. ||This hotel has reputation for being spooky. Didn't want to believe it. But, in our first night, we barely slept as we heard something (like furniture) being dragged above us, people stepping and running above us and children laughing. These sounds started at about 10 p.m and on and on. We complained to reception three times and they said they've reminded the guests occupying the room above ours. ||In the morning, when we complained again, the staff said that the room above us was empty. Weird. ||The food is ok. ||The staffs are...

I stayed here for 3 nights for a group meeting. |The meeting room "Dang Tuanku" ballroom was the best part of the stay: venue is spacious; good lighting; smart, friendly, quick responses of the banquet team (although hard to find when needed).|The hotel room was old (example: old facilities, full tube television,not flat TV ;)) , yet clean. Toileteries was very basic. We are the only group during the weekday, and it was packed starting Friday afternoon. |Food: somehow every meal we have was very salty. However, there are various of small local food shop with reasonable price, out of the hotel. ||If you have flexibility in budget,I would recommend you pick other place to stay, and maybe better near the Jam...
