Evan Hotel Jambi — Hotel in Jambi

I had book for 1 night stay before and suddenly have urgently matter in Bali (my home) that I need to go back that day to settle. I had try to call traveloka and even call to hotel to please cancel my booking or if not just reschedule the date. They said that due they are fully book so they can’t release the reservation. I understand this matter, but you guys can try to sell my room first right ? But the receptionist keep saying that my room can’t be canceled but in the end he said ‘I will ask my manager first and will call you back tomorrow morning’. Hello sir, if you let me know tmw then how if the reservation can’t be reschedule or canceled ? And if you let me know immediately, I still can ask my fiancé fams to stay there. So the receptionist say he will call today after call his manager. But then until today the receptionist didn’t call me. I am so disappointed with this hotel service. As the hotel is only 2star hotel, but still the management need to be improved.|So relief that I only book their room for 1 night.|The second night, I had book the 5star hotel in Jambi, even the 5star hotel can give me the reschedule...

Got rooms on 3rd floor complained about lack of wifi signal, was told that is due to room distance from router/repeater, not rocket science obviously, but in the 5 nights we were there, there were no resolution except offer to swap rooms to 1st floor where everybody must walk past and after 1st night we realized walls are not sound proofed. we chose peace and quiet. no signal for 3G let alone 4G with Tri inside the rooms either. beware, no lifts. they do not provide hair dryer, iron but quick to suggest laundry service. breakfast ok except one morning no fruit and the excuse was: haven't done any shopping. found a puddle of water in the room after rain. Evan Hotel Jambi This hotel is located on the main road and easy to access by taxi from the Sultan Thaha Airport, Jambi. I have a family event in Jambi and the family gave a suggestion to stay in this hotel. Because this hotel is the best and the nearest one to the location of the event. The hotel itself is a small hotel and so minimalist but looks neat and comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning are some traditional food like Fried noodle, fried rice, and porridge. Then some salty and sweet traditional snacks. Plus hot tea and coffee.
