Happy that I only booked for one night here because I would have been very frustrated with dealing with the staff any more than 1 day.
Pros: The rooms were pretty good. The facilities in the hotel were ok. Nice gym and pool. View was pleasant.
Cons: The service was a rather unpleasant. We were not assisted with our bags from the taxi to the check-in counter, nor upon our departure.
I came to the restaurant to order a beer after a long day of traveling, only to be told they do not serve any alcohol on the premises. Ok, this is a muslim area, my fault for not checking. But they told me I could go buy some at an alpha mart, which obviously isn't possible because no alpha mart in Indonesia sells beer. However, I just walked outside and went to a nearby cafe and the owner drove me to a shop about 10 minutes away where I could buy a couple beers (not the hotel staff, they did not offer). When I got back to the hotel, the staff told my friend that if I drink my beverages by the pool, I would be charged 100k for every 3 beers I drank. That makes no sense at all. Since there are no ice machines around, I had to call and ask for a bucket of ice, which was brought in a ceramic bowl. I'm not a cat, I like my buckets of ice in a...bucket, with tongs.
Each time you order room service, you have to pay directly, which is something I've never heard of. You should just charge things to your room throughout the hotel grounds, sign and pay when you check out, easy.
We needed to use an iron and asked if we could use one since it wasn't provided in the room. It was delivered, but the staff told us we had to return it within one hour. What's the rush?
After breakfast, I was walking back to the room with my coffee so I could finish it there while I read before checking out, but was told I couldn't take my coffee back to the room. Again, another frustrating and unconventional practice in service from an upscale hotel.
One purpose in staying in nicer places is the comfort and convenience of the service and facilities. Convenience is not something provided here at...
Read moreI'd say I don't regret staying here.
Location wise it was kinda awkward in my opinion, it was quite close but not that close to Soreang, yet it was still a bit far from White Crater.
The service was nice, no complaints in that area. Everyone was super nice and sweet, as expected from a 5 stars hotel.
The hotel itself kinda reminded me of the combination of 2 big hotels in Bandung but in a good way. From the conversation I had with couple staffs, the hotel was actually not done yet, they were still in a progress of building mini zoo and garden next to the swimming pool, also another project to expand the hotel from 24 to 75 rooms by adding new building. Can't wait to see the new building coming. But so far the facility was good enough, they had jacuzzi (warm water, I kinda expected it would be hotter), a cold outdoor swimming pool, a kid swimming pool, a decent size of gym and a sauna (unfortunately we didn't try it) - separated between males and females.
We were also provided by afternoon tea, although the amount and variations were not plenty, the taste was good.
The breakfast was also good, there were some downsides but overall they were doing good. This one chef made us penne carbonara and it was really good. Healthy juice and honeydew-orange juice were my favorites!!! Among cakes, the cheesecake one was good. We also tried the chicken skewers, oh that was good.
As for the temperature, it was very hot in the day, but breakfast time and after sunset, it was cold. You better bring jacket or jumper if you can't handle the cold, last time I checked it was 16C in the morning, we even turned off the AC.
I read some complaints about ants, yes I found them in the bathroom, only 3 of them, they didn't bother us so can't really complain about it.
Bed was cozy, my only concern is the bedside table, it was a bit too short compared to the bed, so it's hard to pick glasses or phone in the morning/middle...
Read moreThe hotel is right beside the main road, but if you do not pay close attention, you may pass by very easily since the building is hidden.||We stayed there for 4D/3N and will definitely return at given occasion. |The hotel was not very occupied during our stay and we were offered to upgrade from Deluxe to Executive on the spot.|It was a nice initiative from Mr Agit and we enjoyed the clean room, the fresh air, the surprising good and complete variety of cuisine available at the Sadesa Restaurant, the nice amenities, the serene country view and above all : the staff’s great hospitality.||Activities for families are available in the hotels venues : Rabbit feeding, Vas painting, Horse riding, Cooking class ‘Making Pizza’, Making bracelet, Cup cake decoration, Movie time, Afternoon tea.|The staff is very attentive and proactive, Mr Agit offered and arranged a Yoga class 3 days in a row for us.
