HOTEL LIPPO CARITA — Hotel in Java

The website home page shows an appealing low-rise beach-side hotel, painted in warm colours.||But on closer inspection, once you get there, the facade is cracking, and the plumbing is worse!||Just some issues:||1) Air conds are on one setting only. They are split units, but the remote controls have been disabled and don't work anymore. We had two rooms. One was freezing cold. One was humid! ||2) Bathroom water heater didn't work.||3) Cockroaches! The kitchen drawers are full of cockroach droppings. And there was even one among the bath towels! Gave me a shock when I reached for a towel after my freezing cold night shower.||4) They turned of the water at 8am in the morning first day we were day. We were not warned so there was no water to bathe or flush! ||||Why did I give it 2 stars instead of 1? Some mitigating factors:||1) Carita is really quite cool at night, and there was a stand fan. So we just shut off the airconditioning (had to open up the unit to do it because they seem to have been hard-wired into the wall - we couldn't find the switches even though they were split units), opened the windows and used the fan.||2) There is a huge bucket in the bathroom to store water. After the bad day 1 experience, we just stored water.||||Maybe best way to look on this property is not so much as a condominium, more like a...

Plus : located by the main road, easily accesible and there's a restaurant nearby tho it's very pricey and there's an alfamart right in front of the unit the view was exceptional, a VIP seat for a sunset with krakatoa mountain in the background the apartment smelled so good and fresh the room service through Pak Nahrawi is beyond word.. He's so very kind and responsive the bed sheet and bed cover was super duper softtt and i really want to know the brand i need to buy it lol equipped with smart TV plus an active netflix account

Minus : the bathroom is kinda messy and the floor is wet, we expected a dry bathroom as it was a separated shower type and the bidet was leaking the sofa felt dusty and needed a good power vacuum cleaning the neighborhood was old and looks abandoned and only the unit itself that was refurbished, so expect an old and sandy stairs

Plus : Pantai lebih private ya..pantai carita sebelum kondo ramai sekali..tp di area kondonya gak terlalu ramai ada warung buat jajanan di sepanjang pantai, kopi teh 5rb, kelapa muda 15rb, tikar 20rb pantai landai tanpa karang cenderung adem karena banyak pohon besarnya dekat pantai yg malas bakar ikan, biasanya ada pedagang yg nawarin ikan bakar plus udang bakar jadi parkir luas

Minus : Pedagang kelilingnya rada nafsu nawarin dagangannya Entah kenapa, waktu nyebur ke pantai ada rasa gatal kayak digigit2 gitu ya. tapi kayaknya tergantung musim. krn saya pernah dikawasan lain di daerah carita tidak seperti itu

Plus : Masuk ke kamar, ruangannya bersih, ac hidup, air lancar, alat memasak ada kasur cukup empuk yg spring bed, yg model busa standar aja Depan langsung hadap pantai cukuplah kalau buat menginap

Minus : Kondisi tangga dan jalan kondo ke kamar cenderung kotor, berhubung saya di lt 3 sampe liat ada kotoran burung walet di tangga mungkin terlambat, petugas kebersihannya tidak sempat mengambil bungkusan plastik sampah di luar ruangan, hampir bikin bad mood, karena ada sampah botol anggur disana bangunan agak kurang terawat ya. serasa kembali ke tahun 90an karena banyak barang lama tetangga sebelah puter musik diskotik gede2 sampe pagi, kalau buka pintu balkon langsung kedengaran jelas, kalau tutup pintu samar2 saja tidak mengganggu tidur. cuma kasihan pengunjung yg benar2 bersebelahan posisi dengan rombongan dugem, entah bisa tidur atau tidak
