Wonderful location in pure fresh mountain air and a very special place. The hosts Oussama and Rani, both passionate travellers, are open, warm and very helpful and create a space where people can open up, enjoy, relax and connect. We met wonderful, inspiring people here, made friends, had interesting discussions at the big dinner table and even had new opportunities arise. The food is very good and sitting and relaxing at the open terrace in the common place, overlooking mountains and forest and seeing the occasional puffing cloud from Semeru volcano is something you can't get tired of. We extended our stay two times, did the waterfall tour, the early morning Bromo and the caldera hike- all of them amazing. The Bromo tour is organised in a different timing and location from usual tour operarors, so you can experience Bromo without the tourist crowd(!). Our hosts were very helpful with organising trips and transportation. To us this place and the encounters we had there were a huge highlight in our travels. Very strong recommendation- and a big thank you to Rani...
Read moreThis is by far the BEST and ONLY place to stay in the entire bromo area. In fact, this was the best quality stay I had in all of Java. The owners are amazing people who know every tiny detail about bromo, ijen, semeru, tumpak Sewu, and hiking all the trails.
This place is spotless, the staff are attentive (hard to find in Indonesia) dinner is delicious - an array of Indonesian and western food but everything was cooked perfectly.
They speak perfect English, Indonesian, French and other languages so you will have an easy time communicating.
You can just book this place with no plans and get all the info you need here, they will even get you drivers to anywhere you need.
I loved staying here (stayed for 3 weeks to shoot a film) and they treated me like family. I also met amazing travelers as well.
Just book it, you’ll be really happy you did.
Ps. Check out all of the amazing sunsets and sunrises from...
Read moreWe loved the place. We developed a very good rapport. The hosts are very nice and help with everything. Including organizing tours and transfers. This will remain an eternal experience. It is in a beautiful place. We ate very well here. If I have to say anything a negative point, I do it just so you know that this also comes with it. The prayers can be heard there, especially between 4-4.30 in the morning, which is the most disturbing. We had lukewarm water. We said it, but this is hot here. There is no air conditioning, so no heating (which can sometimes be unpleasant if you are a little cold), and the air is a little humid here (also because of the mountains) so the bedding can have an unpleasant smell! But! This is Southeast Asia! It's okay for me, I just wrote it down so that if you come here, you know.
We enjoyed it regardless and if we do, we will definitely come...
