Puri Wisata Hotel — Hotel in Java

First of all, the review from Ms. Beverly about this hotel was misleading as she probably mixed up with another hotel in Legian, Bali.||||Secondly, this is not a hotel. Its a B&B (or in Indonesia we usually call it hotel melati).||||Its holiday season...!! so I decided to travel by car with my wife and 3 kids on a road trip with neither itenary nor plan at all, just went down the road, headed to Central Java, and decided see later where / which city we would stay over for a night, before carrying on our trip.||||We left Jakarta at 6 am, and reached Purwokerto at around 3pm, and we agreed to stay here for one night. Baturaden is one of the best tourist area in Purwokerto, about 15km from the city, up in the mountain, cool and fresh air. So we went up there to find a place to stay. We were grateful to get 2 very last rooms at Puri Wisata Hotel, as other places were fully booked until new years.||||Now about this hotel. As I mentioned, this is more like B&B, about 2 km from Baturaden Garden (one of the tourist icon of the city). It's an OK B&B for a night stay, quite spacious room for a B&B type, free wifi (extremely slow connection), cable TV, aircond and hot water are available. Every room has balcony. I paid around $20 (breakfast excl.). ||||But I find it really difficult to recommend this place for longer stay. Looks ok from the outside, but the rooms smells and are not well maintained. Bathrooms are dirty. The fridges were never been cleaned up, so when we opened it (to put our drinks in it), very bad stink was out. No one was helping with our lugages. ||||Overall it was quite OK, though, as we were only to sleep for a night. This place is probably still a much better B&B compared to many others...

Reasonable price with good rooms! Been here for family vacation and wont regret..will be back again when visiting baturraden.. the place quite complete facilities for small cities...there is bar resto also discothique

The only comment was on the food for breakfast...there is no much food here...also the internet is terrible...

Only good for holiday...

I loved this place so much I stayed for nearly a month. Excellent location, great pool, lovely and friendly staff. Breakfast was served every morning to my room. Its far enough from the main road JLN Legion so there is no traffic noise, but close enough to walk to Legian and seminyak metres from Bintang supermarket. Cosy room excellent air con.||Would highly recommend and definitely stay...
