If you go to banyuwangi, go to this hostel. It was the most amazing stay I had so far in my life. The personnel are so warm hearted, kind, respectful and lovely. They helped us with everything and did not get any money out of the recommendation they gave us. We got so many tips on everything (where to eat, what to see and so on). The place is wonderfully decorated with a lot of wooden ornaments. There is a nice smoking area in front and inside plenty of seating space to hang out. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a 5 star menu. They over coffee and tea for free. A fridge to cool your beverage or food. Plenty of ice, a water machine with hot, normal and cold water. You can hang your wet laundry outside on the provided rack. There is even a small open air non-smoking hangout space. The interior is very nicely made. A lot of cool stuff to discover like the chairs made out of bicycle parts. It is super clean. They provide towels and the shower was one of the best in Indonesia. Stable warm water and good water pressure. For us Europeans: plenty of toilet paper (so you don't always need to shamefully ask before taking a dumb) but as always don't throw it in the toilet!
A special shout out goes to Becky who made it possible to ride Motorcross with a local in the jungle. But everyone from the staff was super nice. If you go there please treat them respectfully so they will stay so nice to the guests.
@revive team: thank you so much again for the nice stay! It was amazing and you guys...
Read moreOverall, a great place to stay for 1-2 nights with amazing sleep and room!!!!
The only thing I wish hostel is the flexibility and understanding when your guest booked and paid an extension night directly with the hostel ( no booking com or hostelworld), and then later found out a better transportation option is available onward travel for the same day (thru my own research after inquiring about other transportation options with receptions) would at least refund the extension night, and request was made prior to the check out time.
Nevertheless, a great little hostel tucked away from the busy road, and great bed for amazing sleep for 1-2 nights. The hostel provides unlimited free water, tea and coffee which really helps since the location is far from actual physical stores. All receptionists are warm with a big smiley face whenever you see them!
The receptions are all helpful (multiple people based on shift), but I think they all can improve on planning things for travelers other than main attractions bookings, provide more logistic assistance other than the standard booking thru apps. Different receptionist has different knowledge on the region and planning. Because of its location, I only grab food for breakfast and dinner since there is no real...
Read moreThis has to be one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The team were so kind, friendly and helpful, probably the best I've come across. Makes sense as the team at Snooze in Malang were equally lovely, and we stayed here as part of a 3 day tour organised by Snooze. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm - super clean, great amenities, really cosy bed and I loved it because each bed was almost self contained, with a bit of extra space for your things that wasn't on the bed. Also big lockers in each room. Fantastic communal space and shared kitchen too, with tea, coffee and filtered water facilities. The only thing I would suggest is that it could be beneficial to have a small selection of noodle pots or similar for sale for guests. We happened to be there over Eid and didn't realise it would be tricky getting food. The team were very helpful though but it would be an easy bonus! Would 100% return and feel it is a shame we didn't get to spend a bit longer here due to the...
