A Cozy Gem in Abepura – Front One Budget & Triple8 Lounge
If you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Abepura, Front One Budget Hotel is a wonderful choice. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. Everyone was warm, polite, and always ready to help with a smile — a true reflection of Papuan hospitality.
The room I stayed in was clean and cozy, with all the essentials I needed: a comfy bed, air conditioning, hot shower, and fast Wi-Fi. The decor was simple but modern, with a touch of local character that made the space feel special. It’s a budget-friendly hotel, but the comfort and service you get go beyond expectations.
One of the highlights of my stay was the Triple8 Lounge on the rooftop. Whether you're there for sunrise coffee or an evening drink, the view from up there is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is just right, and the menu is surprisingly affordable. I especially loved the little outdoor seating area — perfect for catching the breeze and enjoying the city lights at night.
The food, both at breakfast and in the lounge, was fresh and tasty. The local dishes were flavorful, and there were also plenty of simple options for those who prefer something lighter.
Yes, there were some small things that could be improved — like better soundproofing in some rooms or quicker housekeeping response — but overall, these were minor and didn’t take away from the positive experience.
In short: Front One Budget Abepura isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a place where you can relax, feel cared for, and enjoy the little moments. I’d definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend visiting the Triple8 Lounge even if you’re not staying at the hotel. It’s one of Abepura’s best...
Read moreI understood when I booked this hotel that it is a budget hotel, however, I was not expecting the poor quality of the room. We only stayed 1 night, thank God. I would've asked for a refund if I have to stay more nights than that.
The following were the issues: We booked a superior room, based on the picture it has a window. What I didn't know was that the window faces the hallway instead of outside and can't be open. The blinds on the window was broken, it cannot be rolled up or down. Someone from maintenance has to come and replaced it. The toilet seat was broken. They just placed the toilet seat on the toilet with no screws. Again, we had to call maintenance to replaced it. No hair dryer, so we had to call front desk to request for one. It floods when it rained in front of the hotel. We were only there one night and it rained, thus, the flood.
Some positive points: They can do express laundry in house, charges per kg. It costs an arm and a leg (IDR 50,000/kg) they delivered it to our room within 6 hours. Slightly closer to the airport than other parts of Jayapura, so cheaper taxi. The front desk people were nice.
Considering the price I paid, it is not worth it. Spend your money at...
