The staff at Ekas breaks were super friendly and accommodating which was great, but to be frank the place is poorly managed and probably only stays afloat due to the lack of competition in this scenic part of Lombok. The aircon in our bungalow didn’t cool at all, just recirculated air; the bathroom was mouldy and sprinkled with gecko poo and the cups in the room had coffee like stains in them. To top it off the food was completely uninspiring. The only somewhat enjoyable thing on the menu was the burger. The included breakfast buffet consisted of a fruit platter of a couple of brown pieces of banana some bread, eggs and cornflakes. I’m not fussy but expect a bit more for 700k IDR a night. Would love to go back to Ekas but would give Ekas Breaks a wide berth under the current management.

I can imagine this was a really nice resort once upon a time. Unfortunately it's now a bit worse for wear and extremely lacking. Oggy (not sure if the correct spelling) was the only staff on site and was very helpful and kind. As for the room it was nice and private, and relatively quiet. Unfortunately there was no running water unless a noisy pump was turned on, then you had to wait for it to build a little pressure. Still though no water for the toilet and the shower didn't work in the afternoon. The floor boards were sketchy and had gaps between them and the walls. The outside looked nice but upon closer inspection was not so good. The pool was definitely unusable. Not a great stop, but not the worst either. A bit overpriced for it's current condition.

They should rename it in Ekas construction side. You don’t need an alarm clock because workers will wake you up at 7 o’clock anyways to get your poor breakfast. It was all in the build up when we arrived, nothing looked like the pictures on google. The pool was not usable because of the water and the workers around there, so no chilling at the “resort”. The room and bathroom was not really clean and … intakt. If you like lost places this is the place to go. Only positive - the staff was friendly as always in Indonesia. But in total a really bad experience, we left.

I booked into it has breaks for one night o I was greeted by the really friendly staff And the place looked amazing i was travelling on my own with my 2 children. from the moment I got there I was made to feel welcome and the kids were off playing with the friendly staff.they miss ash so much even talking about him still |So much to say about this place it was so beautiful and the rooms were big and clean staff are all so friendly. It’s like one big family everyone happy I absolutely loved my time here|Ellen and Mitch who run Ekas breaks were amazing making sure everything ran smoothly everything was organised and the surfing was great and they made it easy to surf every day suiting everyone’s needs as my sons and I were at different levels ... the journey to the break was so fun too and so beautiful Mitch the best guide and coach I’ve come across and his outlook on life and attitude just makes you smile !!!!! I can’t wait to surf here again 2 surfs a day and epic waves was like a dream come true !!! My surfing definitely improved !!! |Not forgetting The food is the best that I had in Lombok by far so so fresh not one thing to complain about and I recommend the fish !!!! Also the veggies sooo fresh |We ended up staying five days instead of one and then left for three days but came back here for the rest of our trip I can’t fault anything here and I think it’s one the best...

Spent just over two weeks here with a surf group from the UK. The resort is a perfect place to chill whether or not you are surfing. Ellen and Mitch oversee an outstanding operation with some of the most genuinely friendly staff I have ever encountered (thanks to Nur, Ica, Isna, Ronnie and many others - sorry not to have all the names). Great accommodation and excellent food, nice pool and great support from the team for our surf camp. ||Whilst we were coached by our own instructors, talking to Mitch left me in no doubt from comments and advice that he’s a very good surf coach should you require his services. The waves on almost empty breaks are consistently good - especially for early intermediates like me. ||I upgraded to a suite for additional space and had a wonderful stay. ||In summary, relaxed and informal and very very friendly. A...

The resort is a little oasis in the dry the season. Wonderfully kept gardens surrounding the bungalows and suites. The pool was beautifully warm with 2 showers tucked away surrounded by flowers. ||||The staff were super friendly, willing to bend over backwards to help you with what ever you needed. ||||The new activity coordinators (?) Mitch and Ellen were both super cool and friendly. They really know their stuff and are just so positive about surfing (and life in general). ||||We stayed in a suite - gave us a little more extra space and an outdoor shower (looking up at the stars at night was a unique experience and one not to miss).||||There are some amazing surf breaks down there. Great fun taking the boat and diving off - certainly crossed of my bucket list. Absolutely loved the place and miss...
