Best 4 Star Hotel - No Doubt
We already had our eyes on Resinda last year. The reviews on Google & Traveloka looked too good to be true. But if the majority had similar thoughts, maybe it was not too good to be true.
My wife called the hotel to ask a few things about health protocols, cleaning SOP, facilities etc. Happy with the answers, we booked our staycation directly on the hotel website.
About a week before our check in date, I got an email from the General Manager, asking for dietary needs & if we'd be celebrating any special occasion (our wedding anniversary!). The day after, my wife got another call, explaining that the hotel would like to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary by giving complimentary decorations in our room. We just thought, WOW!
Long story short, we arrived at the hotel. Our 3 years old was already a fan and when the hotel staff told her that they had a playground outside where she'd be able to feed some rabbits, turtles and fish... she was way beyond excited.
Our hotel room was terrific! The decorations on the bed & window, also the anniversary cake in the fridge... you know that man's pride when he's able to make his wife & daughter beyond happy? That was what I was feeling.
The room was spacious. The bathroom was clean & tidy. The kitchen was top notch. We tried to find anything to complain about, but could find nothing!
The next day, breakfast was fab! There were a number of Japanese expats, and that explained the area for classic Japanese food and it was goooooood!
Then we spent some time in the playground by the pool, where you could ride a bike, feed turtles & fish, feed a couple of rabbits, etc. Then there was a bigger ground downstairs where you could play mini basketball, paint some plastic containers, plant some mini plants, etc.
When we got bored & wanted to do some shopping, we'd just head to Resinda Park Mall which was 2 minutes away and the hotel got a dedicated access.
This was, hands down, the best 4 star hotel I have ever been, even compared to those in other Asian & European countries I've been; even better than several 5 star ones.
The space, the ambience, the facilities, the service, the hospitality... every thing was top notch. A real quiet place if you plan a getaway.
I understand that those reviews were not too good to be true. They...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Resinda Hotel Karawang during the holy month of Ramadhan, and overall, it was a delightful experience.
The Japanese-inspired interior design of the Deluxe Room, as well as the hotel in general, added a soothing and serene ambiance to the stay. This tasteful blend of aesthetic elements made the accommodation uniquely comfortable and enjoyable.
A standout feature of the hotel was its direct connection to a nearby shopping mall. This seamless access to a variety of shops and dining options enhanced the convenience factor, offering guests the opportunity to shop or explore different cuisines without needing to travel far.
In terms of fitness and recreation, the hotel houses a clean and well-maintained gym. Although the equipment is somewhat limited, it covers the basics for a decent workout. The hotel's thoughtful provision of free shoes for gym-goers is a commendable initiative. Additionally, the presence of a pool and recreation area adds to the leisure facilities available for guests, making the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable.
The only area where I found room for improvement was the Suhoor breakfast offering. The variety was slightly limited, possibly due to the unconventional meal timing, outside of the regular breakfast hours. Nonetheless, a broader selection would certainly be appreciated by those observing the fast during Ramadhan.
All things considered, Resinda Hotel Karawang offers a comprehensive and enjoyable stay experience. Its unique interior design, prime location, and adequate facilities make it an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable stay in Karawang, and I look forward to seeing continual improvements, particularly in their...

The weakness:
The whirlpool facility is a little inconvenient as the male and female have to swap according to certain times (female: 3pm-6pm, then male 6pm-10pm) including the usage of the locker. So, when I put my things in the female locker and i left it for swimming, then when i was about to take my things in the locker room at 6.30pm, the room was changed to be male room. So, I couldnt take my things. So, i asked my husband to get in to take them. The air circulation in the whirlpool area is poor. The sauna stood by but the steam room was not available to use. I checked in and it was dirty.
The water in swimming pool was dirty and murky, maybe because many people swam there and also wore complete clothes.
When we visited there, manyyyyyyyyy people were in the lobby, such a big crowd. For us as guests it was not convenient.
At night,we saw two people played the piano in the lobby (not pianists). When they finished playing, I asked one of them if i could try playing it but the receptionist said no. But, i was okay with that.
The foods were okay. I ordered aglio olio pasta from room. In the menu book it was written that aglio olio pasta comes with prawn. When I mentioned the menu with the details to the room service via call, he said "the aglio olio doesnt come with prawn anymore, only the pasta" And i said that it is written like so. So, i asked him if it couldnt come with prawn and i needed to pay with the normal price, i asked to change it with bacon. Through argument, then he came back to me by telling that the pasta will include with prawn.
The strengths:
The building was nice, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is also nice with bathtub. For that price, I think its value for money to get...
