We stayed in Nakula 1 with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
Pros: The place in itself has a nice ambiance.
The walkways are nice entering into the villa.
The main city area is 15 mins from the hotel so you can rent a bike and roam around that area.
The pool within the villa was nice and most enjoyable at night and when there are no caterpillars around the deck area.
Cons: The pool is good size but can be a bit small for 6 people as we were 3 couples staying in 3 bedrooms.
We accidentally broke one drinking glass and they charged us 20 AUD saying it was a very expensive glass and costs a lot but it definitely did not cost no more than 2 to 5 AUD.
The blow dryer in the bathroom is very very cheap. It did not even have proper heat settings and took forever to dry my hair and my hair is only shoulder length. I had 2 other girls stay with me and they had the same comment as it took us half an hour to an hr to dry our hair and even after that our hair was still wet lol. It makes me wonder why you have a small glass that is worth 20 AUD but your other amenities in the room are not even up to par.
The rooms are very small to walk in. The bench in front of bed blocks the walking area and I often bumped into the sides of the benches and I had bruises on both sides of my thighs as did a few other people who stayed with me in the same villa. There is definitely not enough space in the Nakula 1 bedrooms to keep luggages (we only had 1 luggage and 1 carry on) so if you have more than that it will be difficult to have space in your room.
If you plan to do spa, the spa sessions will take places in your bedrooms. I booked it but due to time constraints I had to cancel it. But I wish they would have a separate spa area for such a huge villa suites. It may be a bit difficult for your partner or anyone you are coming with because they would probably have to go somewhere else while you're doing your spa in the room. Moreover you also won't get the spa feeling as you would get in a separate area.
We stayed in November so be careful of the caterpillars after the rain. Your deck will get filled with them and some are also creeping on the sides of the pool. So if you are not a 100 percent nature lover you may not be comfortable with being in the pool with all the caterpillars being around you.
The rooms aren't very sound proof. We could hear loud music from other villas and we could also hear the people in the next room.
Overall it was a decent experience for all of us for 2 nights and 3 days. They're are still fairly new so I'm sure there is room for improvement and they can improve...
Read moreOverall, it was a comfortable stay - I slept well, the small pool is lovely for cooling down, however a bit too small for any meaningful swimming (one-bed villa). If you hire a scooter, it seems like you can park it right outside your villa as there's a driveway area by each villa. The air con worked well in the bedroom. I liked the polished concrete décor and all the plants. The toiletries provided were lovely. It was nice that breakfast was available in restaurant, but I found it wasn't brilliant and when busy, the service for freshly cooked eggs/omelettes/waffles was extremely slow and food in the hot plates was lukewarm at best. I had lunch and dinner another time in Madawa, but it wasn't brilliant so unfortunately, I don't recommend the restaurant. Also in heavy rain, the sanctuary area had a few leaks that dripped onto tables.
There are other areas requiring improvements. All the linen had stains on them - sheets, pillows, duvet, towels, it's clear they were freshly laundered, but it wasn't pleasant that old stains remained. I mentioned to reception I just wanted the pillows changed, but housekeeping changed all the linens. This was fine, but everything still had stains on. The seat at the bottom of the bed and the sofa in the living/kitchen area had multiple stains as well, the toilet seat and lid had deep stains, the toilet roll holder was loose, during heavy rain the kitchen floor had a big puddle, and the bean bags are looking tired. The offers in the menu folder didn’t match the restaurant so it wasn’t kept up to date.
So, there are a few things that with a little extra maintenance would make the villas great, but it’s just not there. The area is ok, I found that the Jl. Astina Pura road didn’t get too busy or noisy. There are a couple convenience stores that don't take long to walk to, but some parts of the main road (Jl. Dharmawangsa) don’t really have a foot path, so you need to walk on the road. I mostly used Gojek to go to explore other areas, and found it was reasonable for a Gojek car to Nusa Dua beach or Uluwatu.
So, if you're happy staying away from the bustle of busy area and enjoying some relaxation time in a quiet private villa, I would recommend this place, just note the...
Read moreThis is review about my vacation in January 2024, so the date in description is not actual.||||First of all, I’d like to say a bit about situation. Unfortunately, we were had to book this hotel 2 house before our due date. It was an emergency situation which happened because of extremely poor service and overall condition (mould was everywhere, worn out house, etc) of the hotel we stayed at before. Me and the administration of this miracle hotel had a 5 minute talk, we negotiated and agreed that without any booking (!) on booking hotels (!!) they will reserve presidential villa for us for 4 (!) hours. I was amazed, and then we went to this hotel we finally got decent service, perfect condition of our villa etc (which I’m going to reveal below).||||Personnel.||As I said before, administration understood my problem and made advances for me. When we came in they were polite, smiling and caring. And they were like that during whole our stay. Can’t say anything bad, even a thought about them. 10/10||||Meal.||We had only buffet breakfasts, just because we were at the beach all the time. What can I say about breakfast? I’d say that the hotel had a classical breakfast kit (European). Number of positions could be bigger, but quality of all that we could eat was as good as It possible on Bali island. From juice to bakery. All of it was perfect (best of all I had on Bali). 9/10 (-1 point for quantity)||||Suite.||Hotel itself looked like brand new: clean, well-built, designed. We had presidential villa with consisted of 2 buildings: ||1. 3-stored house with private garage on the 1st floor for 2 cars, kitchen and hall on the 2nd and a master bedroom on 3rd lvl||2. 1-stored house with 2 bedrooms; each bedroom had its own big wardrobe, bath, shower place.||10 out of 10. Really.||||Conclusion.||This is definitely 10 out of 10. I think I could be subjective, but I write my own review with my own point of view, that’s why all of the reviews which you can read consist of subjective opinions, more or less.||||P.S. unfortunately, mostly, I was making videos, not photos. That’s why all of my photos are about to be a screenshots of...
