Gondang Beach Hotel — Hotel in Lombok

We're driving around Northern Lombok looking for some good food, which isn't easy to find along the road in this part of Lombok. We found a sign advertising Gondang Beach Hotel, and we took our chances. ||||We're arrived to a very clean and friendly bungalow resort. The owner greeted us personally and showed us around. While we didn't sleep at this place, we still got to see the rooms and amenities, the well-kept grounds, and tried the restaurant at this place which deserves a review. Staff was very detailed and courteous and took our order. We had 5 shakes, a whole grilled fish, Nasi Goreng, and a Gado gado salad. The food was delicious and was our cheapest meal during a 3 week stay in. If we have the chance gain in the future, we'd come again and sleep there a few nights and see the local attractions. This place is NOT open. And from the looks of it... It's been closed for a year or so The pictures from booking and google are very old, in reality the place hasn't been taken care of at all: broken things all around, mold, dust, doors closed.

We arrived during off-season and because of the fact that this really isn't a touristy place and the recent earthquakes, we were the only visitors. But the place was beautiful and the staff was really friendly!|Their english is not the best, but they make it work! The beach is just a 1 minute walk from the hotel and it is amazing and great for snorkeling!||Really recommend this if you want a quite and beautiful...
