Rinjani Mountain Garden — Hotel in Lombok

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Senaru and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

What stood out the most was the incredible hospitality and helpfulness of the host family. They supported us with everything — from organizing a stunning guided hike to recommending great rental options, local sights, and hidden gems in the surrounding area. They truly went above and beyond.

The food deserves a special mention — it’s a solid 11 out of 10! Freshly prepared with love and absolutely delicious. I would come back just for the food alone!

The entire property is beautifully designed, located just above the rice fields on a hillside, offering breathtaking views. The sunrises and sunsets are simply magical.

Our room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower spacious. The outdoor area — with a pool, hammocks, and several spots to relax — makes it easy to soak in the peaceful surroundings even more.

We had a wonderful stay in the Mountain Garden! The food was some of the best for our entire journey. Homemade sourdough bread for breakfast, and rich homemade food made with love! The host, her family and staff were wonderful. I want to give extra credit for honest recommendations, we often find that staff recommends “everything”. Jihan was honest about the situation at the rinjani summit (with the amount of people it would not be a great excperience), and gave other tips instead. Would highly recommend doing the rice field and waterfall tour with the guide Koyos. Learned a bunch about the local farming practices and local traditions. They also have scooters for rent at a fair price.

Rinjani Mountain Garden is a spectacular place and one of the most beautiful places we visited on our Lombok trip. The garden is so beautiful and is lovingly tended. The natural pool is spacious and really refreshing. I loved that everything was so authentically Indonesian but still beautiful! The family that runs the RMG is simply warm-hearted, humorous and great. Their Little daughter Nicole is an absolute sweetheart. The dogs are also super cute.
