Yanto Cottages 1 (Office) — Hotel in Lumajang

The cottages look attractive and unique from the outside, but the inside is very empty with only basic necessities. No fridge, no hairdryer (the reception did have one when I asked), no soap (except a small pack of shampoo), no decorations.

But the room, bedding and towels were clean and there were no bugs in my room. Plus, the water heater for the shower worked properly and provides hot water.

They had three breakfast options to choose from, which you could have as early as 6am.

Lastly, and probably the reason why you would stay here, there is direct access to the waterfall park using the walkway to the back across the parking lot. Super easy! But the cottages are right next to the main road, so expect a lot of street noise.

All in all, a good option to stay if you want to be close to the waterfalls to get an early start to...

We arrive quite late to see the waterfall at 4 pm so we could only see it from panorama view then we decided to stay in Anugrah Homestay for a night so we can go to the waterfallin the next day. Rooms are clean, new buildings, hot water in the bathroom inside the rooms, friendly and helpful owner, Mas Yanto show me how to get to the waterfall and the route to go to some other places near by... delicious simple breakfast, and you can even get diner here too.. recommended to stay here if you want to explore Tumpak Sewu waterfall and the area around without having to be rushed. The best place to stay during your visit to tumpak sewu. Their rooms are so clean and tidy. Hot water, AC works really well. Huge parking space. And they have restaurants too.

The people here are the best and polite.

We tried bakmi godog jawa, ayam penyet at Yanto homestay, and that was so delicious. You should try it.

The people here are honest, I hope they will keep doing this in the future.

Pak Yanto is really helpful, he gave us all the information that we needed. And he is a nice and polite person too.
