We had the most incredible 4 days staying with this amazing family in their self-built home. Location is 15km out of the city, so if you are looking for somewhere to explore and experience a typical Indonesian village life, this BnB couldn't be more perfect. Mopeds for daily rent so you can explore the nearby waterfalls, caves, national park, and also to drive into the city if you so wish.||The family are always around to answer ANY questions and just for general chit-chat. Dian is the mother who is a brilliant cook (pay a small fee for a meal on request) and the free breakfast was always something fresh and traditional - rice with soup, fruit with sweet bread etc. She even catered to my vegetarian/vegan requests which was so thoughtful. ||I could write forever about how amazing our stay was here but you should just experience it for yourself. Rice fields and an abundance of flora and fauna surrounds their home. We even learnt how to harvest the rice, and Andreas (the father) got himself up at 4am just to take us to see the sunrise. They also have a sweet daughter and many family members and friendly neighbours who regularly visit the house to socialise with everybody. Everything they did was with compassion and care for their guests and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We felt so at home staying here and we don't have a single bad word to say about anything or anybody. Everything was...
Read moreThis is one of the best home stays that we have stayed in! The hosts have been so friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a different breakfast everyday and each was delicious. The property itself is great, filled with Andreas’ artwork. We particularly liked being able to watch the rain fall inside the kitchen.
Dian and Andreas recommended a great waterfall spot nearby, and several nice places to eat. Andreas also took us on a walk around the local villages and rice plantations and picked lots of fresh fruit along the way.
This Homestay has a great family feeling and is a great insight into rural Javan life.
The motorbike we rented was one of the best we have had so...
Read moreThis has been one of our favourite BnBs! The hosts were the sweetest people ever! If you are looking for a more local experience this is the place to go! Every morning we received fantastic veggie local food, we would probably have never tried without staying here :) The host was a painter so the entire place was beautifully designed and in the morning we had a little jam session with his daughter. The room also was very comfortable, but the best part was really the family, they made us feel so much at home :) The only thing I would advise is to rent a bike in Yogyakarta as it's not the easiest to get there and back without an independent...
