This is a new resort and the name can be a bit misleading in the sense that it is a dive resort, but it’s a cave diving resort. So it’s an ideal base for exploring the underwater cave systems in the area, and there are tons to explore. The rooms are awesome, very comfortable beds, hot showers, air conditioned, toiletries are supplied and the rooms are very well appointed. Every room has its own WiFi. Nice touch. The food was really good too, some really good authentic Indonesias dishes interspersed with some western dishes. I found the food to be really tasty and the portion sizes were good too! During the week there is a small menu for dinner and breakfast, but it’s buffet style on the weekends. We also received lunch packs daily as we were out diving the local caves and these too were ample. You can get some alcohol on site, but it’s mainly beer. The staff are simply amazing, and I felt that they went out of their way to satisfy our needs. Lots of happy faces and smiles reflect the personality of the people in Indonesia. The dive centre on the site was still being completed but from what I could see, they had a massive compressor on site for airfills, lots of SM cylinders and will be totally geared for Cave Diving in a few weeks. We had arranged our own guide to explore and were using this resort as our base. The house cave is stunning. The only negative I can really point out is that the resort offers dinner picnics in the gardens around the rooms, these can continue quite late into the evening and be very noisy. Can be especially tiresome after a long hot day cave diving etc. other than that, this place is really special.

I'm a cave diver, so I was here on a cave diving trip which is very different from usual holiday trips. This place was originally built for cave diving with a dive center and a in-house cave. It's situated in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rainforests and close to a small village. Apart from cave diving and explorations, I really don't know what else you can do here. Glamping, in case you don't know, means glamorous camping. So it's literally that, steel-framed camps with a hard wall bath room. It's clean and well staffed. Buffet or ordered meals three times a day, good cooking (although I was told it was nowhere as good as before since the original training cook from Java left). Indonesia, as many of you know, is a cave diving haven. You have access to more than two dozen caves from this location. Sulawesi Dive Trek (this is not an ad) uses this place as it's operating base and conducts daily diving trips. Check it out if you're cave diver, it's really really good. If you do decide to come, make sure you spend at least a week here for a thorough experience.

Bagus sekali! Kadena is the ultimate divers paradise in Buton Tengah. They have all the facilities of a top-tier dive resort with the comfort of a five-star jungle retreat. The tents are beautiful and comfortable, each with its own bathroom. The staff are extraordinarily helpful, friendly, and kind. There is even a beautiful home cave 50m away from the main building that is a great place for a swim or a cave dive. I could not imagine a better experience where adventure meets luxury.

Kadena has just the right balance of peacefulness, convenience and service. The grounds and gardens are clean and tidy, yet still make one feel in touch with nature. I’ve awakened every morning to bird calls and a gentle breeze through the trees. The staff is more than accommodating, are extremely friendly, and will do literally anything in their power to make sure you have what you need to be comfortable and happy. The Indonesian food is excellent as well. We’ve spent a few weeks here as part of a large cave diving group, and I have to say I am similarly impressed with the dive logistics and the resorts ability to handle a large group and keep everyone happy. As a dive center owner myself, I can’t wait to come back and bring my own groups here to this lovely hotel one day! I...
