Oh Maravilla! Where to begin
We stayed in a so called private villa that has another Villa within ours - I guess we share a pool (no advertised). We were told that the second villa was not occupied whist we stay. Within 15mins the villa breeched our privacy as cleaners entered the next door villa (opening curtains). My partner was topless in our pool and felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I confronted them to be told they are cleaning for the next guest. Our villa contact advised they would leave immediately which they eventually did.
Later that evening (same day) the so called distance construction workers entered the villa breaching our privacy once again to us to fill water bottles who knows if they very spying on us. I was so angry and upset I rushed to the villa next door confronting a construction worker in the act and he ran away from me avoiding any communication. We got in contact again with the manager to be told he needed to fix a lightbulb. Which was not true - caught out lying to us. And admitted lying us. Couldnāt understand why lying was the first option š©. You and you security guard very lucky I didnāt loose my cool š¤š¤¬
Onto the noise. Banging metal, grinding rebar at 9:30pm at night. Again angry and frustrated I walked around the complex until I found a tribe of construction workers working. I asked them when they finish and if they could wrap it up and call it a night. Worker said āno stop work, we work all nightā. Cannot understand how working at night can be kept to a minimum (perhaps tell your workers no machine work after sunset).
We understand you are a developing accomodation complex but, give your guest some respect seriously.
Would not advise anyone staying here until work is finished in 2031.
Also please stop deleting/flagging my google review, this makes you look so bad. Your guests must know the dark side of this place before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPD: After receiving a response from the manager, I am updating my review. We arrived at the villa on February 14. From January 15 to 17, there was no water. We reported the issue multiple times, but it was not resolved. Despite the inconvenience, no compensation was offered. The claim that we received a 20% discount is falseāwe paid the exact same amount as listed on Booking.com. The lack of professionalism and misleading information in the managementās response are disappointing.
Terrible experience ā avoid this place!
We stayed at Maravilla Complex for three nights, and for two of them, we had no water. After a long day of snorkeling and hiking, it was awful to come back and not even be able to take a shower. Instead of enjoying our evenings, we had to deal with the staff, asking when the water would be fixed, but in the end, nothing was repaired.
When we requested a discount for this inconvenience, the manager simply said we had to pay the full price and then hung up on us. He sent us a payment link that didnāt even work, and we wasted 1 hour before leaving, trying to sort it out and catch our boat. It was incredibly stressful.
If anything goes wrong with your stay here, donāt expect help or compensation. I absolutely do not...

The villa itself is in good condition, but unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing.
First, the floor was dirty when we arrived, which made the place feel unclean from the start. Second, getting to the villa was a real challenge ā the road is difficult, and itās not easily accessible.
The worst part was the water issue. The water was turned off multiple times, and it took ages for the staff to get it back on. As a result, we were without water for most of our stay, which was incredibly frustrating.
When we asked for a discount due to these issues, the host yelled at us and refused, saying their system wouldnāt allow it. The lack of professionalism was shocking.
Overall, while the villa looks nice, the poor management and basic service failures made our experience terrible. I wouldnāt recommend...
