Gunung Paradis, a truly hidden gem at the north side of Bali. Situated in one of the most beautiful, green, authentic areas of Bali, you will immediately immerse into the tranquil and relaxt atmosphere. Gunung Paradis blends-in very well in the surrounded environment with its wonderfully shaped gardens and breathtaking views over the Munduk valley. Waking up with a view like this, is simply amazing. We spend our Christmas here and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. The human touch of Karien and Jack makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. After many challenging months due to the lack of tourism because of COVID, you could sense the happiness of the staff for us to arrive and they would go above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. All food served was delicious, with the half-pension option highly recommended. Having breakfast in your private bale with such an amazing view; we simply can’t think of a better way to start your day! Enjoy the beautiful nature of Munduk, it’s rice paddies, it’s stunning views and many sightseeing’s, and close off the day with a refreshing jump in the pool when back at Gunung Paradis. Last, but not least; the trekking through the rice paddies combined with a visit to the Aling-Aling waterfalls is highly recommended and well organized!

Paradise Found! Taking in the sights of rice terraces and hillsides when we, hairpin by hairpin, descend the ridges to arrive at Gunung Paradis Retreat. Beautifully located, overlooking the valley. Green, lush. Peaceful. We spent Ogoh Ogoh and Nyepi with Karien and Jack. They arranged a snorkelling trip to Menjangan Island for us and on the way back we were in the midst of all local Ogoh Ogoh parades. Nyepi was spent, together with the whole of Bali, in reflection, darkness and silence. Pampered by hosts and staff we had a fantastic time from beginning to end. If there was a “Paradise Lost” - by logic, there must be a “Paradise Found”. We think this is it.

Fabulous place, with endless splendor in the gardens, fantastic views, glorious weather, and scrumptious food. If you don't have your own transportation, though, you have to reserve rides with the chauffeur, so spontaneous outings are off the menu

This is one of the least valued corners of Bali. Away from the crowds, Jack and Karien created a beautiful and comfortable place here that in addition to being close to authentic places such as the Munduk Mountains or one of the most impressive Buddhist temples still preserved on the island (Brahmavihara-Arama), is also surrounded by rice paddies and incredible landscapes that can be easily reached by foot or by motorcycle from Gunung Paradis.||||This place has a warm family atmosphere, the view of the mountains, the comfort of the guest house, the amenities, the swimming pool to relax after a day of adventure in the surroundings ... everything is perfect to spend a few days or even weeks in this unexplored area of Bali which in fact is also strategically located near the West of Bali, another hidden gem located only about 50 minutes from Gunung Paradis by car or motorbike.||||And of course, the human touch from Jack and Karien and all of their staff is unmatched. We would love to return to this place and we heartily...
